NIFTEM Sonepat Admission 2025: Dates, Application Form, Courses, Fees & Eligibility

National Institute of Food Technology Entrepreneurship and Management Sonepat admissions are offered to B.Tech, M.Tech, MBA and Ph.D courses. NIFTEM Sonepat B.Tech admissions are done based on valid JEE Main scores while Ph.D admissions are based on entrance test and interview. 

The NIFTEM Sonepat M.Tech admissions are done based on valid GATE scores, while NIFTEM Sonipat MBA admissions are done based on the CAT/MAT/CMAT/NIFTEM Entrance Test followed by group discussion and interview. The details of the NIFTEM Sonipat admission process are given below. The candidates must meet the NIFTEM Sonepat eligibility criteria to apply for the courses.

NIFTEM Sonepat offers B.Tech at the undergraduate level. The candidate must meet the NIFTEM Sonepat UG eligibility criteria to apply for the courses. The duration of the NIFTEM Sonepat B.Tech is 4 years.

NIFTEM Sonipat B.Tech Admission Process 2025

• The candidates must meet the NIFTEM B.Tech eligibility criteria.

• The candidate must appear and qualify the JEE Main examination.

• After the declaration of the results, if the candidate meets the cutoff then he/she can register for the JoSAA/CSAB counselling.

• Then, the candidate must select the NIFTEM Sonepat as the preferred college and preference courses must also be filled.

• Then seats will be allotted to the candidates based on their performance in the entrance examination.

• The provisional admission will be confirmed once the candidate submits the documents for verification and pays the NIFTEM Sonepat fees.

NIFTEM Sonepat offers MBA and M.Tech at the postgraduate level. The duration of the NIFTEM Sonepat PG courses is 2-years.

The details of NIFTEM Sonipat M.Tech admission process is given below. Candidates must appear for GATE examination for NIFTEM Sonipat M.Tech admissions.

NIFTEM Sonipat M.Tech Admission Process 2025

• The candidates must meet the NIFTEM M.Tech eligibility criteria.

• The candidate must appear and qualify the GATE examination.

• Then the candidates must attend the counselling process.

• The merit list will be prepared and seats will be allotted to the candidates based on performance of the candidate in GATE.

• The merit list will be displayed on the NIFTEM website.

• The remaining seats will be filled by non-GATE candidates following the admission of the GATE qualifying applicants. 

• For the Non-Gate qualified candidates, admissions will be done based on the performance of the candidate in the entrance examination conducted by the NIFTEM Sonepat. 

• Finally, the candidates must submit the documents for verification and pay the NIFTEM Sonepat fees.

The details of NIFTEM Sonepat MBA admission process is given below. NIFTEM Sonepat MBA admissions are based on CAT/MAT/CMAT examination.

NIFTEM Sonepat MBA Admission Process 2025

• The candidates must meet the NIFTEM MBA eligibility criteria.

• The candidates must appear and qualify the CAT/MAT/CMAT.

• The candidates who failed to appear for CAT/MAT/CMAT can attend the entrance test conducted by the NIFTEM Sonepat.

• The candidates will be shortlisted based on their performance in the entrance examination.

• Then the shortlisted candidates must attend the group discussion or personal interview conducted at NIFTEM Sonepat. 

• The final merit list will be prepared based on the performance of the candidate in group discussions, personal interview, past academic records, and relevant work experience. 

• Finally, the candidates must submit the documents for verification and pay the NIFTEM Sonepat fees.

NIFTEM Sonepat offers Ph.D in 5 specialisations. The NIFTEM Sonepat Ph.D courses include Ph.D Food Engineering, Ph.D Agriculture and Environmental Sciences, Ph.D Food Business Management and Entrepreneurship Development, Ph.D Food Science and Technology, Ph.D Basic and Applied Sciences.

NIFTEM Sonepat Ph.D Admission Process 2025

• The candidates must meet the NIFTEM Sonipat Ph.D eligibility criteria.

• The candidates must attend and qualify the Research Entrance Test (RET) conducted by the University.

• The candidates qualifying the UGC-NET (including JRF)/UGC-CSIR NET (including JRF)/ICAR-NET (including JRF/SRF) are exempted from RET.

• The candidates must secure a minimum of 50% marks (5% relaxation for reserved category) to qualify the entrance examination.

• Then the candidates must attend the interview. 

• The NIFTEM Sonepat Ph.D selections are done based on the performance of the candidate in the entrance examination and personal interview.

• For NIFTEM Sonepat Ph.D admissions 70% weightage is given to Entrance Examination and 30% weightage is given to Personal Interview.

• Finally, the candidates must submit the documents for verification and pay the NIFTEM Sonepat fees.
