NITTE University, Mangalore provides various infrastructural facilities to students and professors at the university campus. NITTE University facilities include a library, dorms, bank ATMs, a canteen, an auditorium, a gymnasium and more. NITTE University facilities also include hostels, sports facilities, IT infrastructure and a convenience store.

Medical assistance is provided when first aid is required. Transportation is provided at reasonable prices. There is accessible transportation available. The canteen is available to provide good and nutritious food. Students who meet the requirements can use all of the NITTE University campus facilities.

Boys Hostel
The NITTE University hostel is equipped with solar water heaters, WiFi, a common phone, a TV room, a reading room, a visitors lounge, water coolers, generators, and 24-hour security and surveillance cameras. In some of the hostels, there are AC rooms. Both indoor and outdoor game facilities are available at the hostels. For hostel guests, there is a laundry facility on site.
Girls Hostel
The NITTE University girls hostel guests are given a bed, a cabinet, a desk, and a chair. Every hostel is equipped with solar water heaters, WiFi, a common phone, a TV room, a reading room, a visitors lounge, water coolers, generators, and 24-hour security and surveillance cameras. In some of the hostels, there are AC rooms. Both indoor and outdoor game facilities are available at the hostels. For hostel guests, there is a laundry facility on site.
Medical/Hospital
Under the Medicare Program, all students are eligible for free NITTE medical care at the 1200-bed, multispecialty KS Hegde Hospital and free dental care at the campus' AB Shetty Dental Hospital.
Gym
For the use of students and hostel guests, the air-conditioned multi-Gymnasium built in a 5500 square foot facility is open from 6 am to 10 pm. There are three qualified instructors at your disposal. There are treadmills, elliptical trainers, exercise cycles, rowing machines, and a full-fledged multi-gym as part of the equipment.
Library
There is a NITTE library is available to all students at the university. Where students are provided with different books for study purpose and research purpose. They can visit the library as when needed.
Sports
The NITTE sports facilities include a 400-meter athletic turf track, a football field, a cricket pitch, tennis courts, basketball courts, volleyball courts, and badminton courts. Indoor sporting events like table tennis, chess, and carrom are available on campus.
I.T Infrastructure
Excellent IT infrastructure is available at the university for its students, staff and faculty members.
Cafeteria
There is a NITTE canteen available to staff and students at the university at affordable prices where the students, staff and faculty are provided with multi-cuisine.
Auditorium
The university offers a sizable auditorium with adequate seating to conduct seminars, non-cultural activities, guest lectures and others.
Transport Facility
The campus maintains a fleet of buses and vans to offer free transportation to the personnel and students.
Convenience Store
Students are encouraged and made aware of theatre movements in India and abroad via the theatre club. The Club puts on plays, street plays, mime performances, and other theatrical events.

The NITTE University, Bangalore offers two Bsc, (Honours) degree in Civil Aviation, in collaboration with Aerodynamic Academy!

- Bsc, Honours, Civil Aviation Pilot Training (CAPT)

- Bsc, Honours Civil Aviation Flight Dispatcher (CAFD)

Eligibility

- Class 12th with minimum 45% aggregate.

- 17 years at the time of admission, and a class II medical certificate.

Duration

Both the ordered courses are for 4 years. The first 3 being the Bsc curriculum and the last one year for training. 4th year is an optional one.

Career Opportunities

If you pursue CAPT , you can land in roles like Commercial Airline pilot, Charter/Cargo pilot, Test pilots, Flight Instructors and so on.

If you choose CAFD, you can become Airline Operation Managers, Flight Dispatchers, Air Traffic Controllers, Aviation Safety Inspectors, Loadmasters and so on.

EEE in NMAMIT, nitte or CS in AIML in Sahyadri college of engineering, mangalore Which one to choose?

Hello Aspirant,

If you are in a position of choosing EEE at NMAMIT, Nitte or CSE (AI & ML) at Sahyadri College, Mangalore, then I present the following comparison:

NMAMIT (EEE): NMAMIT has a strong reputation among engineering colleges, NAAC A accreditation, good infrastructure and facilities, and an alumni network that is well established. EEE through NMAMIT has a sturdy base in core engineering, and offers entry points in both the government and private industries but competition for placements can be tougher.
Sahyadri (CSE in AIML): Sahyadri offers an upcoming and in-demand specialization/stream, which means placement opportunities are increasing broadly, especially in tech industries. Sahyadri College is also becoming well known; yet, it is a much newer engineering college than NMAMIT, so it does not have legacy status established.

If you want a career in tech, coding or with AI, I recommend opting for CSE in AI and ML at Sahyadri. If you intend to follow core engineering pathways better and more established through reputation, I suggest EEE at NMAMIT.
