NEFTU Admission 2025: Dates, Registration, Fees, Eligibility

North East Frontier Technical University (NEFTU) is one of the newest established universities in India, NEFTU has now grown into one of the better universities in West Siang, Arunachal Pradesh.  The admission process in NEFTU usually begins around months just before the academic session starts in August-September. However, due to changes in admission dates every year, prospective students should frequently check the official website of the university admitting them for updates on deadlines and for more information on admission.

Different eligibility for admissions to NEFTU according to the different programs includes the 10+2 board education for most undergraduate programs. Postgraduate applicants should also obtain a bachelor's degree in that discipline from a recognized university. There may often be a few specific additional requirements for some programs.For example, an engineering aspirant would have to take the JEE, while an aspirant of a master's in management would have to take the CAT or MAT.

Application Process

The following are the 9 stages adopted by North East Frontier Technical University for admissions:

1. Go through the official website of NEFTU  under admission section.

2. Select the desired program and check eligibility criteria for admission and requirements.

3. Fill the online application providing personal and academic details.

4. Upload scanned documents required which include:

• Passport size photograph
• Mark sheets of 10th and 12th grade
• Mark sheets of graduation and certificate of degree (for postgraduate programs)
• Scorecard of entrance examination (if applicable)
• Certificate of category (SC/ST/OBC/EWS) when applying under reserved category
• Other relevant certificates as mentioned by university

5. Make an online application fee payment. Fee amounts may differ for every program and category-wise.

6. Submit the application form and keep a print.

7. For programs with entrance tests, appear for the examination as per the schedule.

8. Shortlisted candidates may have to attend counseling, document verification, or other additional rounds such as interviews or group discussions depending on the program.

9. Upon selection, the candidate will now pay the admission fee and undergo the remaining processes necessary for the completion of admission per university instructions.

10. Attend the orientation program and be moved to classes according to the academic calendar.

Admission Process Degree-wise-

B.Tech: Some of the B.Tech programs offered by NEFTU are Aeronautical, Civil, Electronics and Communication, Mechanical, Biotechnology, Automobile, Computer Science, Electrical, and Information Technology Engineering. Admission is based on 10+2 percentage with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as compulsory subjects, but sometimes may include JEE performance in some programs.

MBA- Admission to the MBA program of NEFTU incorporates national level management entrance examination scores such as CAT or MAT. The process may include a personal interview and group discussion round.

LLB- Admission to the 3-year course for LLB in NEFTU would be done on the basis of the qualifying degree examination of the candidate, with a maximum intake of 120 seats, which may also include a university-level entrance test.

BA LLB- Like the LLB program, this program also contains 120 seats wherein it is a 5-year integrated program and similar admission criteria will apply, taking into consideration results from 10+2 and may have a university-level entrance test.

B.Ed- It offers admission into the B.Ed program for 100 seats based on the performance of the candidate in the undergraduate bachelor's degree, preferably with some background in the education and related fields.

D.Pharma- The Diploma in Pharmacy program has 60 seats which are admitted based on results in 10+2 with an emphasis on science subjects mainly Chemistry and Biology.

M.Tech- Numerous programs under M.Tech. Generally, admission is based on a valid GATE score and performance of B.Tech or equivalent degree of the candidate.
