Hey.
For admission in BA/BCOM LLB in PU, 50% weightage will be given to boards exam percentage and the 50% weightage to Entrance exams result. As you've scored 72% marks in boards, you have a little disadvantage and you will have to work a little harder for the entrance exam.
As per previous year trends if a student scores around 72 marks in boards you should try to 75-80+ in the entrances for a fair chance of admission here.
As  the marks required in entrance will matter a lot too and it might change this year due to factors like level of difficulty of paper or level of competition. Precious year trends vary a lot too. Prepare well for your entrance
Best of luck.

Hi, after doing some research about placements in both Delhi University and Panjab University for B.com Hons, I've come across many reviews that don't speak quite highly of placements for both DU or PU. Panjab University has excellent placements in the Engineering course but not in B.Com hons. In DU you can expect to get good placements only if you get admission in some top colleges like Shri Ram College of Commerse, Kamla Nehru, Hindu, Venkateswara college etc. Only in these top colleges you can expect to get into big fancy MNCs with high pay package. In other colleges placement packages and positions for the job aren't that good.

I'll list some colleges other than top DU colleges that have good rating and placements for B.Com Hons:

  • Lovely Professional University, Jalandhar
  • Chandigarh University, Chandigarh
  • Sharda University, Greater Noida
  • Chandigarh Group of Colleges, Mohali
  • Christ University, banglore
  • Kristu Jayanti college, Bengaluru
  • Goenka college of commerce and Business administration, Kolkata
  • Symbiosis college of Arts and Commerce, Pune
  • JD birla institue, kolkata
  • MOP Vaishnav college, Chennai
  • DAV college, Chandigarh
  • Indian Institue of Management and Commerce, Hyderabad
  • GLA Institue of Business Management, mathura

Good Luck

Dear Navneet Kumar,

Yes , as far as your marks in intermediate are concerned, you are eligible. But that will not be enough. To get into Panjab University for B.A LLB, you need to take the exam conducted by the Panjab University itself. The admission will be solely based on their entrance test. So, you need to score good marks in that test. The exam is going to be conducted in June. Applications have already begun. So make haste and apply.

You can also attempt CLAT which is an all India level entrance test to get into NLUs.

Hope my answer helped.

Hello Raj,
As per the eligibility criteria for the entrance test the candidates of general and obc category must have passed class 12th with 50% and there is 5% relaxation for those who belong to sc or st category.
The cut off is the minimum mark and rank to be eligible for admission in ba.llb course. The PU BALLB cut off will be based on the number of seats, number of qualifying candidates and difficulty level of examination.
Happy Learning.
Good Luck.

Hello Sai dileep

See, 41K rank is quite a low score in KCET but boards marks is uite good. after considering the fact that boards marks plays a good role in KCET then also, i dont think with 41K rank you friend's daughter would be able to land onto any good college or reputed college as you have mentioned.

Though she can get some of the average college as there are many colleges in karnataka that takes till 45 K rank.

I would suggest to appear for the counselling andhope for the best!

Hey.
The syllabus for PU BA LLb entrance exam includes
General Knowledge and Current Affairs. For this entrance focus more on Static GK than on Current affairs. If you look at the previous year question papers then you will be repeating questions too. There are morrestatic GK questions. For that you can use the Consized sized Pearson or Lucents book. Try solving previous year papers too.
For preparation you can use An All Inclusive guide like Univeral's guide to CLAT and LLB. This book would be sufficient for preparation. Although this book contains many things outside the syllabus too as it covers most of the other entrances like CLAT too. Hence try to stick to the syllabus. Also, you need to make sure that you go through the Previous year questions papers and practice the sample papers well.
Make sure you pay attention to the General knowledge section than other sections as the weightage is the most. Ggo through the material well. Other than that you can slo go for online quizez on static GK to practice. This section would require more attention. The weightage of it is also more. You can practice rest of the sections alongside.
Best of luck

Hey.

The syllabus for PU BA LLb entrance exam includes four sections. The four sections are as given below-
1. English 10 marks and 10 Questions
2. General Knowledge & Current affairs 60 marks and 60 Questions
3. Legal Aptitude 20 marks and 20 Questions
4. Mental ability 10 marks and 10 Questions
All inclusive guides like arihant guide will be a good source for preparation. The other options that you have is universal guide. You can use any of these according to your requirements.
English- The English section of BA LLB entrance exam for PU is easy with basic grammar and vocabulary questions. It includes synonyms, idioms, phrases, Jumbled words etc. You can practice the same from an all inclusive guide only. You don't need a separate book for the same
Mental Ability- The weightage of this section is also less, also the questions are very easy if you compare it to other exams like CLAT. Take a look at the previous year questions to understand the level and pattern of questions. It would involve basic interpretation and reasoning questions. A separate book won't be necessary for this section too. An all inclusive guide will be sufficient.
Legal aptitude- This sections includes basic questions related to law like Constitution, legal maxims and more. You can use the all inclusive guide for this section as well. Also solve the previous year questions to see the recurring questions.
General Knowledge and Current Affairs- For this entrance focus more on Static GK than on Current affairs. If you look at the previous year question papers then you will be repeating questions too. There are morr static GK questions. For that you can use the Consized sized Pearson or Lucents book. Try solving previous year papers too.
For preparation these books would be sufficient for preparation. Although this book contains many things outside the syllabus too as it covers most of the other entrances like CLAT too. Hence try to stick to the syllabus. Also, you need to make sure that you go through the previour year papers.
Make sure you pay attention to the General knowledge section. Ggo through the material well. Other than that you can slo go for online quizez on static GK to practice. This section would require more attention. The weightage of it is also more. You can practice rest of the sections alongside.
Best of luck

There is no upper age-limit for admission. However a candidate must be at least 17 years of age on the date of application. A graduation degree with 45% marks (40% for reserved category) is the basic qualification required. Universities like DU and BHU require minimum 50% marks while universities like Kurukshetra, Rohtak, Meerut require  only 45% marks in graduation.

Good luck!
