Placements

Our college provide above 80%scholarship. Many students interned with Millenium post, Echo of India, got placement in many highly dignified corporate sectors like TCS. More than 45%students got placement through campus drives and their salary package is from 1.5l -4l. The placement process depend on your own skills and performances but our college helps in that case.

Placements

Placements were not as good for the English department as was for other departments. We did not sit for a lot of them as the companies were not up to the mark and did not meet our expectations. Other departments had much better options.

The candidates are expected to have proficiency in English and will be tested on English language competency, knowledge of literary theories and essential literary skills and abilities. The questions are mainly based on the syllabus of undergrad syllabus.

The question pattern is as follows

Essay (1000 words) – 25 marks
Poetry Comprehension/Analysis/Evaluation of thematic and critical style – 25 marks

Is admission in St. Xaviers, Kolkata to opt for UG course is done on the basis of overall 12th board percentage(general) or on the basis of marks obtained in particular subject in boards with respect to the course to opt for.

Like almost every year, the application form for the year 2022 for the undergraduate courses as well as other courses shall commence from the month of June and shall end on the month of July.
