Visva Bharati University provides hostel facilities for male students. The hostels offer various amenities including electricity, purified drinking water, a kitchen, a hospital, a playground, a gymnasium, a newspaper, magazines, telephones, a television, a common room, a visitor’s room, indoor games, and more. However, hostel accommodations are subject to availability.

Visva Bharati University also offers hostel facilities for female students. Similar to the boy's hostel, the facilities include electricity, purified drinking water, a kitchen, a hospital, a playground, a gymnasium, a newspaper, magazines, telephones, a television, a common room, a visitor’s room, and more. Hostel accommodations are provided based on availability.

The Visva Bharati University ensures the health and well-being of its students with inpatient and outpatient facilities, ambulance services, and emergency care. Free medical treatment is available to all students at University Hospitals: Pearson Memorial Hospital in Santiniketan, with extended dispensary services, and C.F. Andrews Hospital in Sriniketan.

Visva Bharati University provides a Central Library along with a rare collection of books housed in the Kala-Bhavana Library.

Visva Bharati University sports facilities are avaiable on campus. The Visva Bharati University sports facilities conduct compulsory physical education programmes for students, with facilities for indoor games available in the hostels.

A full-fledged, well-equipped Computer Centre with Internet and software facilities is available for students, researchers, teachers and administrative employees of the University, subject to the rules and regulations of the Centre. The Computer Centre is open from 7 am to 8 pm (Wednesday Closed) and it is likely to be operational round-the-clock shortly.

The University offers limited transport facility to its students and employees within the campus. the university bus runs between the two campuses every 40 minutes till 6.30 pm.

A modern equipped gymnasium is located in the Vinaya-Bhavana campus, with yoga facilities available on campus.

There are two Post offices operating in Santiniketan and Sriniketan respectively offering all postal services including savings bank facilities.

The State Bank of India operates a Branch with all services including ATM within the University campus. The Axis Bank also has an ATM in Chatak building; other National Banks facilities are also available in Santiniketan/Bolpur.

Visva Bharati University provides six guest houses with catering arrangements for official visitors and guests. These guest houses offer fully furnished standard and non-AC rooms along with suites and dormitories, equipped with modern amenities. Management of catering services is outsourced to a private agency.
