Hello Pardeep,
Computer science would be the first one to come in mind. If you have a knack for coding or you think you can develop that, go for it. It has abundant opportunities to earn but the companies who pays in six figures makes it sure they extract far more worth of work from you.
Second would be electrical and electronics or electronic and communication. Good pay but landing a nice job might be tricky. The future market is perceived to be slow. You have to be really really good at what you do.
Third comes Mechanical Engineering. In this discipline, although you get a slow start considering package, your progress will be exponential. Plus this discipline is the one which will never become obsolete. There will always be something for you; which can't be said for the other two. Mechanics has been serving human since the Stone Age and will continue to do so.
That being said, if you're good in talking or have exceptional analytical skills, you can try for consultancy firms. They also offer hefty packages and generally their clients are giants in technology so you get to do core work also.
Hi Ayush
ABES Engineering College, Ghaziabad offers Two-Year MBA programme while GL Bajaj Institute of Management and Research, Greater Noida offers two-year PGDM programme.
ABES Engineering College, Ghaziabad has lower fees - Rs. 3.07 lakh as compared to GL Bajaj. The course fee at GL Bajaj is Rs. 6 lakh.
ABES has 120 MBA seats while GL Bajaj has 240.
Both colleges are private and approved by AICTE.
The average placement salary at GL Bajaj is around Rs. 4.75 lakh and goes up to as high as Rs. 10.42 lakh. Top recruiters include Apollo Tyres, Bose India, Club Mahindra, Crowne Plaza Group, Deutsche Bank, Fidelity Worldwide Investments, ICICI Securities Ltd, Intec Capital Ltd, etc.
Both colleges are very similar in terms of infrastructure. If you are looking for a low budget college, then you can go for ABES, Ghaziabad. But overall, GL Bajaj will be better in terms of faculty, exposure and placement.
Hello Jai,
If you are statisfied with the college that you have got then don't go for second round and if you are not statisfied you can go for second round. There are chances that you can get better college and there are chance of not getting a better college. If you didn't get any better college than you can go for ABES. There is no harm in taking part in 2nd round. I would suggest you to take part in 2nd round may be it would give you better college.
Thank you
Hi,
G. L Bajaj would be a better choice.:
1.If you are even a average student and have 60% overall ,then you will surely get at least 1 placement from this college. G.L. Bajaj allows student to sit in multiple placement drives even after getting placed, which most of the colleges don't.
2.There are tremendous opportunities for CS and IT branch.
3.There won't be a lot of extra curricular activities.
4.If you are a from CS/IT , then try to learn different languages by your own or from some external help appart from syallbus because that will eventually help you in most of the interviews, bookish knowledge may or may not.

Hi Bhaskar,
You have very less chances of getting a seat in Government college. As per your SC rank, you may get. You can also consider private colleges like: VIT, LPU, BITS, Assam Don Bosco University, Ahmedabad University,Jaypee University of Information Technology, Techno Global University, Xavier University, NIIT University, Sikkim Manipal University.
Thank you and best of luck.
The college infrastructure is good and extremely big with great facilities, and we have gig classrooms and computer labs and a great library. We even have hostel facilities also for both boys and girls and our mess also provide good food.
The college has beautiful infrastructure and has big buildings with a big campus. We have all the facilities which one college should have. It has hostel facilities both for boys and girls and with have beautiful gardens too.
The college infrastructure is good as the modern labs and air-conditioned classrooms are there for the students of MCA. The library is useful, but it could have included some more advanced MCA-related books. The campus was also very clean. Maintained by age, the older labs and buildings needed upgrading.
