Degree wise Admission Process

BA (Bachelor of Arts): Bakshirhat Mahavidyalaya provides a regular BA course in addition to many honors courses. The admission policy for BA is merit-based and based on the marks secured at the qualifying test (10+2). There are 1,292 student intakes altogether across all the programs.

BA Honours: The college offers BA Honours programs in multiple subjects like Bengali, English, Sanskrit, Philosophy, Geography, History, and Education. The admission procedure for the specialized programs is also merit-based, and emphasis is given on the candidate's performance in the concerned subjects while pursuing their 10+2 studies.

For all BA programmes, both the general and honours courses, the total amount of fees is Rs 9,360, with the only exception being the BA Geography Honours, for which the fee is a little higher at Rs 10,260. Such a fee plan makes higher studies affordable for numerous students.
