My college has a lot of facilities, including a TV, Wi-Fi, labs, an elevator, and a library. The classrooms are smart and have air conditioning. The food in the hostel, canteen, and mess is good, and there are two sports courts on campus.
Our curriculum is relevant, and it is easy to study and understand. The teachers are very helpful and well-educated, and they teach us very well in every subject. The semester exams are not that difficult, and the pass percentage is 50 percent or above.
The course is four years long. The cost is sixty thousand rupees per semester for a total of one hundred sixty thousand rupees. Five companies offer internships to students in my course, and eighty percent of students get internships in many MNC company.
The college provides a fully Wi-Fi-enabled campus for students. The classrooms are well-maintained and neat. The college also provides a big neat library for students and many labs for specific departments. The college has hostels for students at affordable prices.
The teachers at this college are very friendly to students. They help in everything like projects, assignments, etc. The faculty members teach according to the course curriculum. The exams are semester-wise so the exams are not much difficult.
The campus claims to offer college placement in the final year of the college. I don't know what the average package they are providing is. Since IBM agents are coming to take lectures in class, they also provide campus placement for us and also TCS. Since this is a new college and I am the first batch of the college, we don't have any students who got internships.
All is good. The infrastructure is of international standards. The food is very good. The hostel name is Yolo, in collaboration with Yenepoya, but the fees are expensive. Canteen food is the worst, except for egg puffs. The food is good in the morning. There is a break from 10:20 to 10:40 for the whole campus.
Teachers are very educated and friendly, making students ready to enter the industry. Exams are difficult. The pass percentage for exams is 40% in each semester. It is not difficult to pass exams at Yenepoya, which is deemed to be a University. It is easy to get passing marks.
70% of students got placed in my course. The highest package is approximately 38 LPA. The lowest package is 6 LPA. 90% of students get internships at IBM and Microsoft because Yenepoya University, which is located in Bhartiya City, has collaborated with these companies.
The infrastructure of my course was average, with basic facilities like labs and Wi-Fi only provided in labs. A library was also available, but they were not always maintained or up to date. The hostel facilities provided were also very poor, and the canteen food had limited options with average taste
The faculty of my course was moderate in terms of knowledge, but the overall teaching was quite bad. More than conceptual teaching, they believed in memorizing the theory rather than understanding the concepts, and the curriculum is also not updated.
The placement scenario was not up to the mark and was quite poor. Only a small percentage of students were placed, with limited companies visiting the campus, and the highest and the lowest packages offered were significantly low. The average package was disappointing as well.
The infrastructure is good, there are labs, a library, a smart board & AC in every classroom. There is also a well-maintained canteen with fresh and tasty food available at a very reasonable price. The library is particularly for post-graduation, offering a variety of books.
The lecturers are very knowledgeable, and the teaching quality is also good, they effectively help students understand the concepts. The internals are conducted on the tabs, where students have to write their answers. This is a very wonderful and different experience.
Proud to be a part of BNMIT , the placement training provided here is too good. Students are getting good opportunities from the first year in reputed companies like Toyota Finance, Microchip, Bosch, and EY. The average package is around 4.5 LPA, and the highest package is around 9 LPA.
Our college has well spaced classrooms with good benches. Digital boards are there in every classroom. Laboratory has enough computers. Washrooms are neat and clean. It provides good drinking water facility. Best food and snacks are available in canteen.
Teachers are helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. Quality of teaching is good. Course curriculum is relevant. It makes students industry-ready. Semester exams are quite easy, if we have studied all the chapters. The pass percentage is 45%. Faculty members are supportive, and they have good leadership qualities.
70-80% of students are placed. The highest package offered is 20 LPA, the lowest is 6 LPA. Recruiting companies are Deloitte, KPMG, EY, and PWC. Roles offered are HR Executive, business analyst, financial analyst, marketing analyst, and management trainee. Internship rate is 65-70%. Everything is good and great. It is excellent and you can apply to this college. It is a decent college.
BNMIT's infrastructure is generally considered good for an engineering college in Bangalore, but it's not on par with the very top campuses in the country. The buildings are well maintained and the classrooms are modern, well-ventilated, and equipped with good seating and teaching aids. Laboratories are updated and functional, supporting the requirements of their academic programs, and there is a decent library with a solid collection of books and access to e-resources. However, the campus is relatively compact. Sports facilities and playground space are somewhat limited due to the urban setting, though the college does offer areas for indoor games and a gym for students. Hostel accommodation is available, and while it covers basic needs, it isn’t as spacious or luxurious as some other campuses—students find it satisfactory but not exceptional. The canteen serves quality food with a variety of options, but the choices are not extensive
Academically, BNMIT is regarded as a college with a strong focus on discipline, syllabus completion, and academic seriousness. The institute emphasizes regular exams and assessments, aiming to maintain students’ motivation and CGPA. Faculty members are generally well qualified—many are PhD holders and several have significant teaching experience. Most students find the teachers approachable, willing to clear doubts, and committed to helping students achieve good academic results.
Our college placement process has been extremely disappointing and frustrating for many students. At the beginning, the placement cell promised that each student would be eligible for one service company, one product company, and one dream company offer. Initially, this was followed, and students were allowed to participate accordingly. However, after some months, the rules suddenly changed without any prior notice. Students who got placed in product companies were no longer allowed to sit for other companies — which is still understandable, as most product companies don’t delay their joining. But the real problem started when even service-based company students, who never received offer letters or joining dates, were also restricted from appearing in further placements. This has left many graduates stuck, still waiting endlessly for their joining, with no clarity from the college. When questioned, the placement cell simply said that if you are placed in even one company, you are not eligible for others, which completely goes against their original statement. If this was the rule from the beginning, they should have been transparent and clearly informed students. Many of us would not have opted for service companies if we knew this. Now, we are left with uncertainty and stress, while everyone knows how difficult it is to secure an off-campus job. The lack of clarity, transparency, and support has caused immense frustration and disappointment among students.
The infrastructure is quite good here, and every latest technology is available for students. Proper workshops and training are conducted every month. There are ergonomic chairs, urban interiors, food vending machines and a Wi-Fi facility. The entire campus is lush green.
The faculty members in BNMIT provide constant support for academic activities. They also encourage us to carry out with research activities like paper publication, copy rights etc. The college organises workshops and skill development programs in various fields to make the students industry-ready.
The training and placement department has worked seamlessly to provide consistent support and guidance for the campus drives. Companies like McAfee, 42 Gears, Nuclei and many others have visited the campus. Students got multiple offers. The strategy followed by the department for the online placement due to the pandemic has helped students have a smooth placement process.
Our college provides the Wi-Fi facility for the students and all the staff. Labs are good, and teachers are also good. They are very much friendly and supportive. Classrooms are big and clean. They provide projectors and approximately everything which are needed for a good classroom. There are 5-6 libraries. Medical facilities may be good because I didn't see any casualty yet, so it's good.
The teaching quality is very good. The teachers give individual attention and repeat the topics in case it is required. They invest a lot of time in preparing for the class. The curriculum was very useful for the placements. There are about 65-70 students im each class.
Placements were decent. Though many weren't product-based, people got placed in service-based companies. Almost 50-60% of students got placed. The package offered could range from 3-7 LPA. Internships, not many got a chance for it. Companies like TCS, Infosys, Accenture, Cognizant, Sankalp, BETSOL and many more visited our college, and the majority of the students got the role of an associate software engineer.
BNM Institute of Technology has an average campus with multi- utility infrastructure. There is a Wi-Fi support and the labs are well-equipped. The hostel facilities, food facilities, medical services along with the sports activities are below satisfactory levels.
BNM Institute of technology holds a faculty of well qualified and well trained lecturers with over 5 years of experience. The curriculum considers an alignment with the industry trends, practical application of skills with inclusion of hands on projects and internships.
The total percentage of the students placed this year is around 49%. The academics is still running and the number will increase by another 20-30% making it reach nearly 60-75%. The average package offered in the college is 10 Lacs with the highest beings is 30 Lacs and the lowest being 5.5 Lacs. Almost all of the students will get internships by the end of this year.
Hi Zeeshan,
Your DCET rank is 7500 and the cutoffs for the colleges you applied to are below your rank, so that’s why you didn’t get a seat in the 1st round.
Yes, there is still a chance to get a seat in the 2nd round if the cutoff goes higher. Cutoffs may increase if some students don’t confirm their seats.
Also, yes, you can add or change colleges in the 3rd round during option entry. So, keep checking the official website and choose colleges with higher cutoffs than your rank for better chances.
Hope it helps!

Hello aspirant,
I take it that you're referring to the BNM Institute of Technology. This has been authorised by aicte and is connected with Visvesvaraya Technological University, Belgaum. Since private engineering colleges typically have two off days, so does this one. Although it is stated on the official website that the library is open six days a week, including Saturdays, it is essential to get in touch with the college administration for the class calendar.
Thank you
Hope this information helps you.
