Anglo-Vedic College (DAV College Kanpur) in Kanpur is one of the oldest institutions affiliated to Chhatrapati Shahu ji Maharaj University, Kanpur, and the past 100 years has given it respect for its academic excellence. The college offers graduate and postgraduate programs in Arts, Science, and Commerce.

Candidates for DAV College Kanpur are selected based on merit for admission, meaning the most deserving are admitted. The college conducts its admissions according to the Rules and Regulations framed by the Government of Uttar Pradesh and that of Chhatrapati Shahu Ji Maharaj University, Kanpur.

Degree-wise Admission Processes

B.Sc Programs: Various specializations are offered by DAV College Kanpur B.Sc programs such as Geography, Botany, Chemistry, Statistics, Zoology, Physics, Military Studies, and Mathematics. Their admission is done through an assessment of the 10+2 examination with Physics and Chemistry as compulsory subjects. For some programs, Mathematics is considered as an optional subject.

B.A. Program: The Bachelor of Arts program is offered by the institute in numerous subject combinations. Admissions are based on a merit list prepared considering the marks obtained in the qualifying 10+2 examination.

B.Com Program: The admission for B.Com programs is based on the merit obtained by candidates in the 10+2 examination, especially in Commerce subjects.

B.Ed Program: For the B.Ed program, 100 students are admitted based on their merit in the qualifying examination, and if applicable, the entrance examination, as stipulated in the policy of the state government and the university.

M.Sc Programs: The college offers M.Sc. programs in different subjects like Zoology, Botany, Chemistry, Physics, Electronics (Self-Finance), Biochemistry (Self-Finance), and Microbiology (Self-Finance). The admission is mostly based on the merit achieved by the candidates in the Bachelor's degree examination in the relevant subject.

M.A. Programs: The M.A. Programs available from DAV College Kanpur include Hindi Literature, English Literature, Sanskrit, Psychology, Education, Statistics, Economics, Mathematics, Philosophy, Ancient History, History, Political Science, Sociology, Drawing and Painting, Geography, and Military Studies. Admission is based on the merit attained in the bachelor's degree for the corresponding subject.

M.Com Programs: M.Com programs with specializations in Finance, International Marketing, and Marketing are available at the college. Admission will be on merit based on the marks obtained at B.Com or its equivalent.
