If I tell you about the college infrastructure it is very small even schools are bigger than this college. They don't have place for sports earlier their is only badminton court but now they build new building there.
In academics college is quite good, quality of professors are good they are very helpful. College does other curriculum activities like Nukkad Natak, NSS, Rotract. But in choosing college admin teachers play politics they choose their favourite students only not the right one.
For placement there is a placement cell in the college. Teachers also work hard to call good companies in hiring. But only limited good companies hardly three or four comes or college placement. They provide information regularly about placements.
In my opinion the fees is normal as compare to other colleges who are in competition. But its not value for money students only get regular college degree many students just bunk college don't come to college.
Campus life is very boring, students can't enjoy a campus life in a small ambience. Even students have a better enjoyment n their schools. Its very far and nearby location is not good. Thieves are living nearby college.
Professors and staff is good. They are very helpful.
In 2019, the college restructured its infrastructure and after that it has got some new classrooms, it has basically all the facilities but sports area is missing and small campus as compared to other IPU colleges. Was not able to enjoy much due to infra.
DSPSR has been focussing for many years on Academic excellence and Research work. The main applaud should be given to teachers and deans to stress more on it and making students realize not only the theory part but also the Practical part also.
This is where DSPSR lacks the most. Placement head and placement team take an extra effort to improvise it but if the students (those of business background) won't come forward for placements all the efforts are worthless. Most students come from a business background and are there only to take degrees which halts the placements.
The total fees is 2.5 lac for 3 years with minimal other expenses, so I would say it's a value for money because the person doing job can recover that money within 1 year of his job and that is a plus point I guess.
Very few societies, only NSS and Rotaract club are active. Some sports activities nearby college happens which is not that interesting. Otherwise, the college celebrates every festival and occasion grandiosely.
