Eastern Karbi Anglong College, Karbi Anglong Admission 2025: Dates, Application Form, Courses, Fees & Eligibility

This Eastern Karbi Anglong College is situated at Sarihajan in the District of Karbi Anglong, Assam, and affiliated institution. It has various undergraduate courses, the admissions to which are purely merit-based and mainly include Arts and Humanities subjects. The admission system is designed to follow national standards of admission and aims at extracting a very deserving candidate. The college will consider the scores obtained in the CUET UG directly for admission. The national-level entrance test is conducted by the NTA (National Testing Agency), which will be in a completely online mode commencing from May 15 to May 24, 2025. 

The eligibility criteria, which the college prescribes for prospective candidates, require qualification in the CUET UG examination before coming for admission. Students are selected finally with the Principal's approval to ensure that admissions to various programs of the college are only for the most deserving.  The college has been given approval and certified by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC), signifying that it strives towards excellence in imparting education.

Application Process

Eastern Karbi Anglong College has a sequential application process:

1. CUET UG Registration: Register for the CUET UG exam on the official NTA website. It is likely that the application process for CUET UG 2025 will start early in 2025.

2. CUET UG Examination: All candidates who register for the CUET UG exam will subsequently have to sit for the online examination on the dates specified. 

3. Result Declaration: The CUET UG Results will be declared by the NTA, and by this time, candidates will also commence application processes to the particular college.

4. College Application: Eligible candidates should access the Eastern Karbi College official website  to apply for admission.

5. Form Filling: Fill in the admission form correctly, factoring in all personal details, academic qualifications, and CUET UG scores.

6. Submission of Documents: Be ready to submit all documents required, they may include:

• 10 and 12 mark sheets
• CUET UG score card
• Passport size photographs
• Category certificates (if applicable)
• Any other documents as per the college notification. 

7. Application Verification: College authority will check the entered applications and select the eligible based on merit.

8. Publication of Merit List: The merit list for various programs will be made available either on the college's official website or notice board. 

9. Admission after Payment: The fee shall have to be paid by selected candidates before admission is confirmed, along with original documents submitted in time.

10. Principal's Approval: Thus, at last, it is the approval of the Principal that grants such admission.

Degree Wise Admission Process

BA: Bachelor of Arts : Eastern Karbi Anglong College conducts a full-time BA program with general and honors courses. All BA courses are purely merit-oriented and subject to the Principal's approval. There are a total of eight courses in the BA program: One General BA and seven Honors specializations.

BA Honors: The college has BA Honors programs for seven courses:

1. BA Economics (Hons)
2. BA Political Science (Hons)
3. BA History (Hons)
4. BA Education (Hons)
5. BA Sociology (Hons)
6. BA Assamese (Hons)
7. BA English (Hons)

The admission procedure is the same for all these honors programs, where candidates need to clear 10+2 and also qualify for CUET UG. Admission will be based purely on merit calculated from CUET UG score and any other additional criteria set by the college.
