Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) in Information Technology is a four-year full-time undergraduate Course offered by Government College of Engineering and Leather Technology, Kolkata recognized by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and affiliated to Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology, Kolkata.

Eligibility Criteria

Passed 10+2 examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the Chemistry/ Biotechnology/ Biology/ Technical Vocational subject/ Computer Science/ Information Technology/ Informatics Practices/ Agriculture/ Engineering Graphics/ Business Studies. Obtained at least 45% marks (40% marks in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) in the above subjects taken together. OR Passed Diploma (in Engineering and Technology) examination with at least 45% marks (40% marks in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) subject to vacancies in the First Year, in case the vacancies at lateral entry are exhausted.

It's really good experience in GCELT!

College Infrastructure

Government College of Engineering and Leather Technology (GCELT) has everything basic infrastructure for the Information Technology and computer science students . But I think the computer labs need better upgrades to help students learn and practice more easily.But didn't have any smart boards, but I must say the library was really good, peaceful and well-maintained. I didn't live in hostel so I don't have any idea about that.
