Hello,

As far as civil service exam is concerned, candidates just need to pass Bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognized university having attained 21 years age,you can apply even in the final year.

UPSC is more humanities oriented, so people from arts backgrounds are already acquainted with the syllabus, which perhaps is not the same case with science or commerce students. But,having said this time and again people from engineering, medical, law and other background people have cracked this exam.

With the subjects that you've mentioned, let me tell you in the past people with Economics (Hons) and even Mathematics(Hons) have qualified this exam. So,think with clarity about your interest and you can have a back up plan too, in case there's something else that interests you apart from UPSC, so you can work and have some years experience in the field, and then appear for UPSC.

Kiran, Vasavi College of Engineering that you have tagged is an Engineering College and they have Diploma, Graduate and Post Graduate courses in Engineering. You can check their courses at their official website: http://srivasaviengg.ac.in/details.php . Admission is through EAMCET for Undergraduate courses and GATE for Post Graduate courses. Now Bi.PC, MEC and MPC are the various streams that you can opt in your 12th and so we are guessing you tagged a wrong college. Can you help us with the location of this college so that we can help you with relevant information.

You can study to become a CA, CS. You can also study BBA, Law, Acturial Sciences, Statistics. CBSE has released a list of courses that every student can study after 12th based on hus/her subjects in 12th. You can check that list at: https://news.careers360.com/cbse-releases-list-compendium-courses-students-pursue-after-12th/amp. Hello student. So if you can do maths really well, then take cec out of the list. Now the remaining 2 groups are there, mpc and mec.

Both has maths in common. Now decide based on your future perspective. If you are interested in engineering, then go for mpc. With mpc, you can enter into commerce courses too if you wish to. But if you choose mec, it gets narrower

So I would suggest you to go for mpc

College Infrastructure

My college is not so huge compared to other colleges. But we have great facilities such as having Idea lab, Fab lab and many more which very few colleges have. We do have our own play ground as well as basketball court but we don't have a sports faculty,we students itself train ourselves. We have a library but since technology became the centre of attraction, libraries are not used by all the students. The infrastructure maybe small but this very fact has a great advantage which is we know each other very well. We share great bond with each other.

The best Engineering College in the state

College Infrastructure

The infrastructure may not be the highlight facet of the college, but it makes up with the fact that it is situated in a very good place, at the centre of the city of Kochi. Classrooms are great and well maintained, with WiFi available. There are football, basketball and volleyball courts for sports.

The best college where I could bring out my skills in engine
