Infrastructure is great with many facilities like gym, library, anandam, smart boards in classes, ac. The campus area is large with green plants and trees covered with beautiful flowers. Total campus area is of 33 acres.
I am currently doing civil engineering. Soil mechanics is the best subject of mine. The faculty of it is great. Our college is autonomous and it decides it's syllabus and can take exams on its will anytime.
Highest package off campus this year has gone of 90 lakhs ctc of Electrical branch in electrical core company. Second highest package was of 50 lpa. Average package is of about 6 lpa and core companies generally have 100% placement rate.
The college is having great infrastructure with 4 pillars as its identity. The campus area is large with plants trees and gardens. We have ac classrooms with smart boards equipped and wifi in hostels.
The curriculum is followed as per NEP 2020 and the most of the branches are NBA accredited. The attendance policy is 75%. Some teachers force to come to college some dont care. The college is autonomous.
Many companies visit college and take students, from few years mass recruiters are not coming and so recently placement have dropped. Last year 33 lakh ctc was offered to one student from CSE department.
Haldia Institute of Technology, Haldia (HIT Haldia), is not just an engineering college — it’s a legacy. Located in Haldia, West Bengal, nestled along the banks of the Haldi River and surrounded by greenery, this institution stands tall as one of the most prestigious technical institutes in Eastern India.
The institute offers B.Tech program across a wide range of core and emerging engineering disciplines including: Mechanical Engineering Electrical Engineering Civil Engineering Computer Science & Engineering Electronics & Communication Engineering Chemical Engineering Information Technology The academic rigor here is well-structured, complemented by experienced faculty and a curriculum aligned with current industrial needs.
HIT holds a strong placement record, with companies like: Tata Steel L&T Wipro Infosys TCS Cognizant Capgemini visiting the campus regularly. Several students also crack GATE, ESE, and pursue higher studies in IITs, IISc, NITs, and foreign universities.
Hostel facilities, sports grounds, a central library, tech clubs, NCC, NSS, and various student societies create a vibrant campus culture, which makes it truly value for money.
Spanning over 40+ acres, HIT campus is a blend of vintage charm and natural serenity. The lush green surroundings, peaceful ambiance, and rustic beauty make it a perfect place for both learning and reflection.
The campus is full of greenery and has statues of renowned personalities like Sir Albert Einstein etc.The beautiful architecture of the main building particularly "the four pillars"being the center of attraction.
Lab has enough equipment to carry out the required experiments of respective departments. The teachers are willing to help you but some lab assistant may have a "i know everything" sort of personality.
Since it is a tier 3 private college so nothing to expect much for the placement part ,you are considering this college means you don't have enough rank to get any CFTI, so work hard and make up for it.
It is up to you how much value you are going to create out of the opportunities you get. You are not in IITs or NITs where the opportunity come at your doorstep, grab as much opportunities as you can and if you can't find it, then create one for yourself.
That too depends on the kind of people you are going to surround yourself. People gives you different life experiences, remember a person is always known by the company he/she keeps so choose your friend circle wisely.
If you are in a situation of considering one of these as your college, then better not blame the college for the short coming of opportunities or placement scenario you are going to have, you got yourself into this remember.
College infrastructure is very good.Very well organised and even the equipments are more or less well maintained.Roads inside the campus is well maintained but broken at some places which may cause some inconvenience.
Academics is well handled In the college just like any other engineering college in the country.Courses designed are at par with the industry needs at the present moment.Teachers are fully dedicated to help students at any point of time.
Placements may be considered good or average considering the recent recession and AI trends in the market although there is a lot of scope of improvement in this field but I guess students are also equally responsible for placements.

No
Very poor , water logging , Poor Internet Facility , Cutoff from main city , Common krait venomous snake is very common, no washroom in every department, basic drinking water facilities are not there , only 1st year boys gets the hostel , after 1st year no hosel accommodation.
Worst teacher no knowledge , outdated curriculum, no good proper laboratory, forceful attendance criteria , no Qualified teachers, favorism towards local bengali students , non bengali students are sidelined.
From past two years very few companies are coming and only place it students , for ece students no companies visit the campus , very few Industrial visits for students and internships require money from students for internship opportunities.
Worst 4 years of my life , totally wasted .
College infrastructure is average. have all that basic infrastructure like labs (but systems are old & too slow ).we have gym facilities is good . hostels are reserved for only first year students(within the campus). good library
Academics is average .teachers are not so good ,they don't explain topics , some explains which goes above the head . syllabus is also so long for all semesters. we have to give exams whether syllabus completed or not .
from the past 2 years companies of IT field coming in less number and with lesser seats in comparison to previous years. the strength of students are also increasing year by year . college have to do something that companies must visit college.
below average
hostels are less in number
Infrastructure is Great, total land area is about 33 acres with many facilities like a gym, a Library, and Hostels, separate playgrounds for each hostel, restaurants, departmental Store and many more. The campus is completely green with awesome plants and flowers.
The institute is autonomous so the college is free to change its syllabus and able to take exams on any decided date without depending on university. The attendance policy is of 75% but students are pressured to come to classes and labs daily.
Due to recent recession the placement has dropped but it is best for core branches like mechanical, chemicals and other branches have generally 100% placements. Mostly due to many industries and factories in Haldia which most of the time hire from the college.

It's a very wide and has a very good campus The infrastructure is very huge and outstanding. It has all the necessary equipments a one requires.the laboratories are well maintained everyday. All the living spaces are clean and absolutely hygienic
I'm currently studying in civil engineering I always had a lot of interest in studying about this respective field . The quality of teaching is absolute best.the teachers connect the students very easily. Yes I'm confident my curriculum is updated and includes all the recent developments
I would say it's average on the way of placements. In terms of percentage 90 percent of students are guaranteed with placements But the lpa varies . Average salary for a civil engineering student is around 8.5lpa
Per year it costs around around 90,000-100,00 for civil engineering. Yes, absolutely I'm getting my money's worth It's because the way they teach it's a lot way easier to understand and helps to perform well during our exams.
Haldia institute of technology has the best campus experience a student can get ,no doubt. Students can freely co ordinate with any activities they want to .it is located in a proper location.yes it can handle emergencies
Best experience but if the location was closer to Kolkata. I would have loved the college life absolutely best The weather temperature is intolerable. The faculties have provided air conditioners but some still doesn't work properly. I would like to say
There are many facilities and infrastructure on campus like library, shopping center, workshop store, playgrounds, Wi-Fi, hostel, etc. Many classrooms have smart class and air conditioning. The hostel provides all essential things that's needed in the room of the student, like a bed, study table, chair, and attached washroom. Security and emergency wardens and ambulances are also available on campus only. Mess and canteen food quality is above average but not that good and all the sports ground are there on campus with indoor game facilities too.
The teachers are very qualified. The course curriculum is very similar to the other colleges. The faculty is very helpful whenever you are facing any type of difficulties. You are free to talk with them. There are three types of examinations in our college: the first is the CT exam, the second is the practical exam, and the third is the semester exam. The CT exam is of 15 marks, and the practical and semester exams are of 100 marks.
Companies have represented packages ranging from 40 LPA (off-campus) and 12 LPA (on-campus) up to 5 LPA average. The lowest salary package offered is 3.6 LPA. Top companies are IBM, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, PwC, TCS, Wipro, etc. Internships are obtained by between 20 to 30% of students who participated in these companies. Top positions available as part of placements include associate system engineer, system engineer, ASE, and AASE.
Hello,
The percentile required for admission to Haldia Institute of Technology (HIT) varies depending on the branch you are targeting. Based on previous years' trends:
For CSE, IT, and AI-ML, you typically need 85-90+ percentile.
For ECE, Electrical, and Mechanical, a percentile around 75-85 might be enough.
For Civil, Chemical, and other core branches, admissions are possible with 65-75 percentile.
Hi!
The School of Management and Social Science under the aegis of Haldia Institute of Technology offers a two-year, full-time MBA programme. Students pursuing the MBA programme from this institute get both the placement and internship opportunities.

So , Choose HIT for B.Tech CSE (main).
