The seat distribution for BA honors is as follows-English (80 seats), Bengali (70 seats), History (52 seats), Sanskrit (30 seats), Sociology (28 seats), Education (40 seats), and Philosophy (20 seats). Admission is on the basis of 10+2 marks, particularly in the subjects mentioned above.

B.Sc Programs: The college offers B.Sc programs in various disciplines. The B.Sc general program has an intake of 50 seats. Honors courses are offered in Mathematics (55 seats), Computer Science (20 seats), Geography (50 seats), Physics (15 seats), and Chemistry (31 seats). Admission to the B.Sc. programs will consider candidates' performance in science at the 10+2 level with an emphasis on Mathematics and Science marks for respective honors courses.

BCA Program: Hijli College offers a Bachelor of Computer Applications (BCA) honors program with 43 seats. Admission to this program is based on the candidate's performance in 10+2, with a focus on Mathematics and Computer Science scores, if applicable.
