Indore School of Social Work (ISSW), one of Indore's most prestigious schools in Madhya Pradesh, India, is rich in tradition with more than seven decades' experience in professional social work training. ISSW is an institution with a formidable blend of social science courses, ranging from Bachelor and Master of Social Work to specializations in Economics, Sociology, History, and Political Science.
ISSW's admission procedure is stringent to choose students having a keen interest and inclination towards social sciences. The college adheres to a holistic admissions procedure with academic performance being coupled with other factors. Academic performance at 10+2 level is the most significant key for undergraduate admissions.
The institute has 8 courses under 5 degree programs with a total capacity of 204 students. This limited intake is to provide quality and individualized learning to students. Admission could vary depending on the selected program of study, having different admission for undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral studies.
Application Procedure

Degree wise Admission Process
BA (Bachelor of Arts): ISSW offers three types of BA programs, each with a sanctioned intake of 60 students:
1. BA in Economics, History, and Political Science
2. BA in Economics, Sociology, and Political Science
3. BA in Economics, Sociology, and History
Admission to the programmes is usually on the basis of the candidate's performance in their 10+2 examinations. Special eligibility criteria and cut-off marks may be applicable.
BSW (Bachelor of Social Work): ISSW provides its BSW program to students who are interested in pursuing a social work profession. Admission would most probably be based on 10+2 marks and can have some other institute stipulations.
MSW (Master of Social Work): This is a master's course for students who want to acquire higher level education in the field of social work, but it is definitely a pertinent bachelor's degree that will be needed.
PGD Human Resource Management: A postgraduate diploma course with specialization in HR management in the social sector.
Ph.D. Social Work: Shortlisted candidates will be requested to have qualified either NET conducted by UGC, New Delhi, or DET conducted by DAVV for admission to the program of Ph.D. Admission will be seat-available as well as guide-available.
Faculties are highly qualified and have completed NET/Ph.D. Faculties are expert of their specialization subject and good command of the english language. I was student of Community development and got opportunity to work as a block officer in Educate Girls NGO.
