The academic part of this college is excellent their are top class teachers from all over the world to guide and help their students to excel in their life and the teacher were always available 24*7 to help their students
The placement part of this college was out standing their offer 100 % placement to their students and they bring top class companies in their college campus for placements like TCS , Wipro , Accenture, cognizant etc
Modern Infrastructure which is efficient for people sitting in the back too but still this campus is only used for some of the branches not all because they have different branches. The other Campus is also good.
There are many opportunities in Computer Science and other streams as well as which our college provides us to make ourselves better for future jobs Oppurtunites. Teachers and Mentors are very assisting.
The college has almost Outstanding Placements with 100 Percentage placement and provides various internships. The salary range varies from 3.5 lpa till 74 lpa. Overall the college ensures all the students get placed.
Modern infrastructure which is efficient for people sitting in the back too but still this building is only used for some of the branches not all because those branches have their department building.
The academic is so high level i cant express by words. I really feel amazed that what i got. this is the best I have got here. All the teachers are so high profile and good that I cannot express in words
This Is the college for perfect placement. I did not expect that to be honest, at first . I feel like i wont be getting any, but after all these years we all got what we wanted. So this is my recomendation.
The college have all necessary infrastructure and facility that is required for academics. Basically all the classrooms have projector in it. We have separate labs for each department. Our Library have all the books that is required by the student for academics. Wi-fi is available throughout the campus.
I am pursuing B.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering (Internet of Things and Cyber Security including Block Chain Technology). The course syllabus is very much new and updated. The professors are quite good and supportive in nature. I have learned all the major Subjects which are required for any company job.
The placement scenario is quite good in the college. Almost 90% students get placed. The highest package offered till now in my Batch is of 19LPA. The average salary is around 5LPA. Placement Process vary based on the company.
My Course fees is Rs 1,40,000 Per Year. I feel that I have done right thing by choosing this college as i know the placement scenario is quite good.
The college have basically three buildings. There are various clubs in which students can get engaged. All the teachers and staff are very much friendly and supportive in nature.
I am thoroughly impressed with IEM infrastructure. The facilities here are good, making learning experience convenient and enjoyable. The well-equipped campus creates a conducive environment for academic growth, and I couldn't be happier with my choice of institution.
I'm truly satisfied with IEM academics. The professor are knowledgeable, supportive, and passionate about teaching. The curriculum is engaging, and books are available in Library. This environment fosters a love for learning and has greatly enriched my educational journey.
The dedicated placement cell of IEM has done an outstanding job connecting students with top-notch companies. The pre-placement training and support have been invaluable in helping us secure promising job offers.
The scholarship and financial aid options makes education accessible to many. It is clear that IEM prirotizes its student well-being and success, making every penny spent on education feel truly worthwhile.
IEM campus life is an absolute delight. The vibrant atmosphere, friendly peers, and engaging events make every day an adventure. Whether it is cultural festivals, sports, or clubs, there's something for everyone to enjoy.
I am currently in my 5th semester, pursuing a BTech degree at Institute of Engineering and Management (IEM). I approached the IEM authorities and applied for the IEM scholarship program due to my poor financial conditions, which left me unable to pay my semester fees. I am relieved to say that IEM has generously helped by waiving 50% of the fees for both the 5th and 6th semesters, and I am immensely thankful for their support.
College infrastructure is well organised here. Recently there was an NBA visit and the infrastructure was redesigned by the college. All the facilities and equipment available here Laboratory is medium and Wi-Fi may sucks you and sometimes PC in the laboratory too .IEM has 3 main building Aashram, Gurukul and Management so you can say there is no much sports centre however there is basketball and footsal grounds here. Yes , you can say IEM is too clean and all foods are hygienic in the canteen.
I'm enrolled in B.Tech degree and currently in 4th year. If you love academics then IEM may fit with your attitude. In IEM, there are too many and all necessary subjects are there in the each sem and all of them are well organised. I would rate it 4.5/5.
Best things about IEM is it's placement. I think after Jadavpur it is one of best college in the East India in placement. Oracle, Accenture like company visit every year. More than 90% students get hired from here every year. So you can say it will be good if you are looking a college with high placement offers. Since my placement is about to start so i can't say exactly what avarage salary offers here but from previous year i estimated for CSE it can be around 8-10 on avarage.
A little bit high sem fee at my time it is 70k per sem excluding Hostel. But now it is around 75k per sem. But i think it worth it boz of it's high placement percentage.
If you are academic loving guy then you will love it otherwise i doubt. But there are too many cultural fest is arranged by college and students community every year. You will have a great experience with working staff. But less with teachers and students.
Overall i would rate it a good college.
Our college is well equipped and has experienced faculties. Every gadgets and lab equipments are well maintained. There are digital classroom and 24/7 library facilities. Living space is clean and canteen food is hygienic.
I am currently pursuing B.Tech. in CSE. I want to be a software engineer. The faculties are highly qualified. The curriculum is updated and they are trained us for placement from second year. Faculty also preparing us for GATE.
The quality of placements at my college is very good. Placement is going on until and unless every student gets at least one offer. Avarage CTC is around 8 lpa and highest offer was given by GOOGLE last year.
Infrastructure of our college is good, campus area is not only 3 acre but they maintain the campus very well. Classroom is also well maintained, hostel facility is very good, basketball court is also inside the campus, mess food is also, wifi is also across the campus.
Being private college and one of top college of WBJEE, quality of teaching is very good, all teachers are graduated from top colleges of India. If you study well, teachers support you and you will definitely placed in good company.
Placement is also good in our college, approx 4-5 average package. In our college cs,it and ece is very good branch and these branch provides better placement especially for cs it branch. College always supports and provides on campus placement very well.
Yes, college is worth it for cs,it and ece branch only because in 4 your total cost for studying is around 5.5 lakh and average package is around 5 lakh, so our college is valued for money.
Campus life is average because campus is not big, not proper sports facilities but location is good. Our college is in urban area and it is safe for students.
Our college has separate building where different streams are taught. the library is open foe all students 24*7 and provide us with books . There are two canteens in each respective buildings. The food is very hygienic . The classrooms are quite big in well condition.
Presently I am studying CSE department, the curriculum is updated . Since 2018 the college has autonomous, yet the first and second year are under MAKAUT. Teachers here are very qualified and helps a lot during academic sessions and job placements . The college also provide us with the necessary books that we need for every semesters. Yes the things we learn here in IEM makes us job-ready.
Well, I am not really looking for placements since I would like to go for future studies. Just like to say Education is important , if you educate yourself properly with good knowledge then of course you will get a job with sophisticated income. And to ensure that you get all kinds of support and information to get good education the professors , senior , teachers all of them are there.
No doubt IEM is best in terms of return of investment . Can one imagine just paying 70k per semester for a Batch degree for one of the best institutes in India. With in 6k one is receiving quality education with a job starting from 10 Lpa for CSE/IT stream. It is really a student friendly college.
The campus life here in IEM is really fun. No cases of discrimination with progressive people around you. A lot of fests are organized and even the first years are given the opportunity to actively participate in them. There is a unique vibe inside the campus and the college life is really worth it.
Its one of the best college here in Kolkata and have a very good infrastructure with all the necessary facilities required.
Yes, the college infrastructure is good and well maintained. There are auditoriums where the students are taught. There are libraries which provide us books and the hostel students at any point of time can go and study there. Smart boards and wifi facilities are available within the college campus. The food provided by the canteen is very hygienic. Labs are well equipped with all the necessary modern equipment. Hostels are well furnished and clean.
IEM especially provides language laboratory for students to help them improve their vocabulary skills. I am persuading B.tech in CSE from IEM. The teachers are quite qualified and very helpful. The first and second year are under MAKAUT hence the syllabus is updated in my department. Yes the quality of education that we get here and the regular lab classes make us job-ready.
The quality of the placement is A grade. From CSE and IT department the placement 100%. The highest placement is 12 Lpa in core branch and 8-9 lpa in other branches. The teachers help us a lot before and during placement by taking test and small internal interviews sessions.
We(2020-24batch) pay 70k per semester, which is very cheap if we compare to other colleges. With such a less investment we get quite a good placement of average 8-9 lpa. I personally feel that the money is worth giving since the placement is very certain.
Due to lockdown we could not attend offline classes but the seniors are very friendly and helpful. The college conducts various cultural, traditional, as well as tech fests were students can participate and show their skills. There are many clubs like quiz, rotary , photography, singing etc, the students spend a gala time over there and make new friends.
In WBJEE the students who rank high get opportunity to be part of this college. From first year onwards we are given internship opportunities to experience hands on work. We are trained via many exams so that we can clear all our doubts and perform well to get a good job.
Dear Ritham
Based on your information it seems challenging to secure admission to IEM Salt Lake with a JEE Main rank of 48177 in the OBC-NCL category for CSE or CSE specialization. Cutoffs for top institutions can be quite competitive, and it's important to check the specific cutoff ranks for the desired course and category.
Would you like help exploring other options or institutions that might be a good fit for your rank using College predictor
Thanks.

Hello,
To get a clearer picture, let us consider both the cases :
Joining NSEC Now:
Waiting for Other Rounds:
Now based on your situation, my recommendations are :-
Based on your research and personal preferences, make an informed decision. If you are confident about getting a seat in one of your higher preference colleges in the next rounds, it might be worth waiting. Otherwise, securing a seat in CSE at NSEC could be a prudent choice.
Best of luck!
