Hello Deepika, Greetings!
Thapar University is quite good college for pursuing engineering. The campus is big and infrastructure is very good.
Although syllabus is bit outdated, the faculty is experienced.
Also, the fees is on the high side.
As far as placement of Electronics students is concerned, it will a very good and the average package is around 6-7lpa.
Thank you, best of luck.
If you are a book lover and spend most of your time with books, the library at Thapar University is heaven for you. Nava Nalanda Central Library at Thapar University has a total collection about 60,000 printed volumes including books, textbooks, standards and theses & dissertations. Books are organized on open access shelves in various collections. If you are looking for all the books on a particular subject, it is convenient to browse the shelves for that subject. Library books are arranged within each collection by their Subject Codes using Dewey Decimal Classification (DDC) System. You can read as many books you can. In case the book that you wish to borrow is not readily available on the shelf you may request the same to be reserved for you. The library operations are fully automated. You may enquire about status of your loans, reservations etc any time at the Help Desk. I hope this information works for you.
Hello Sadhna,
BIT Sindri could be a better option for you if you are looking for campus life as well as facilities. It has better administration and infrastructure.
Good luck
Hello deepika,
Honestly, Thapar Institute of Engineering & Technology has a really good infrastructure and beautiful accommodations. And if you talk about the environment, Thapar Institute has a very friendly, positive and learning environment which helps student grow in terms of both academics as well as personal growth. Girls Hostel at Thapar Institute has defined time & rules for girls that has been created for their safety & security. Recently, The Royal Institute of the Architects of Ireland ( RIAI ) announced #TIET Student Accommodation in India as the winner for International Project, designed by McCullough Mulvin with DPA, New Delhi. So, if you’re planning to join Thapar Institute i would 100% recommend it to you. It has highly educated faculty members to guide the students and overall it has a good placement record too.
I will answer this question with respect to ECE class of 2018. Average package this year was around 6 lac and 85% of students were placed till december 2018 and remaining got placed last semester. Apart from core companies students were placed in IT companies and Consulting firms.

Hello Mushahid,
Scholarship is not provided by IET itself but by State Government and it is only provided to those students whose parents income is less than approximately 3 lacs per annum. If one satisfy the criteria of state government, irrespective of the performance institution exams, one can apply for scholarship. The Dean student welfare will help you throughout process and mostly everyone satisfying the criteria receives the amount in the bank. Full tuition fees is returned by the Government.
Hope this helps
Hello,
It depends in which course you want to take. If you are taking Btech and looking for CSE or IT then you can get IT easily. You can go for CSE also. You will get it with your categorical rank. The round 1 cutoff for CSE for OBC was 562-907. chances are there still. To be sure you will get an admission for sure.
Hope it helps!
Hey Aspirant,
The placements are about 80%, but the TPO is very dedicated to the students. Also, mass recruiters like the Accenture, Cognizant, etc., visit the campus. The average package is Rs. 3.5 Lakhs and the maximum is Rs. 9 Lakhs by the Byju's, in the 2018 batch. For the CS and IT, placements are nearly 90%. For the mechanical engineering, you can attend the pool campus drive. Generally, you will get your joining just after your final exams.
Hello
BIT Jhasi Mechanical has more opportunities both in govt and private field plus you get that BIT tag along with it.Metallurgy is a good field but has less scope and it is all about Extraction of metals from earth's core and how to make mining process more efficient.
Evene in higher education Mechanical wins you get a lot of better opportunities in mechanical field.
Hope it helps
Hello Shivangi,
I'll suggest you to take admission in IET Khandari Agra rather than taking admission in Feroz Gandhi college. IET Khandari has a well experienced faculty and labs equipped with modern tools and gadgets and thus you'll get a decent exposure there.
Hope this helps.
Good luck!!
The infrastructure of IET Lucknow is well-equipped and efficient for students. The hostel and library amenities are reliable, and the Wi-Fi connection is stable throughout the campus. The campus is safe, and hostel entry is controlled appropriately. Classrooms have projectors and adequate seating.
The infrastructure of the college is in shambles to tell frankly. The library has strange restrictions for taking up laptops. Classrooms and labs are okay with satisfactory and Wi-Fi connections are provided. Hostels are terrible. Food is tasteless and only one canteen is there on campus. The sports complex of college has been under construction for past few years with yet no completion in sight.
The library is good; all books are available in our college library. There is no need to buy books from outside as the library allows borrowing books for a particular time. Classes are fully modern and clean. The computer labs are also clean, and all systems are in running condition. Wi-Fi facility is available but does not work properly.
