To get admission in IET your rank matters not marks because level of paper may vary with respect to previous years papers but you should try to score atleast 450 marks (under 3000 rank)to deserve some core branches .One more thing that during counselling you should have patience because in last round of counselling you can get a drastic favorable change in your gained choice however your rank is more than 5000 many people don’t know this thing so that a few get this opportunity.

According to last year (2017) ,Here are the cutoffs-:

316 marks and rank was around 5k (General). So, now you can judge your rank as paper difficulty of 2018 was quite similar to 2017.

Yes, i am not very sure about the IET but KNIT Sultanpur is achievable rank with this rank.

It will be little difficult for you to get CSE in IET Lucknow as it is one of the top government college and its cutoffs are to high. You can try CSE in other government colleges like: BIET and KNIT.

You can also try in good private colleges like:

• J.S.S. Academy of Technology Education, Noida
• Galgotias College of Engineering & Technology, Greater Noida
• Ajay Kumar Garg Engineerring College, Ghaziabad
• Krishna Institute of Engineering and Technology, Ghaziabad

Both the colleges have nearly same placement records. MNCs such as Adobe, Mediatek, Samsung and Amazon have recruited students of different branches from both the colleges.

Students crack GATE and CAT with good score from both the colleges.

Only advantages IET Lucknow has are the environment and exposure as the college is situated in the middle of the city and well connected with other parts.
