Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham | B.Tech Admissions 2025

Hello Hanisha, Greetings!
Thapar University is a private and autonomous engineering college.
Faculty at Thapar is I would say overall good but still exceptions are always there. Some departments like electrical and electronics have not so good faculty whereas CS and mechanical has very good faculty.Also most of the teachers are interested in teaching.
Thank you, best of luck.
I would suggest you not to go for any other State Engineering College in UP apart from HBTU Kanpur or IET Lucknow. ECE at IET Lucknow is a Good Options, considering the flexibility of curriculum and the rising demand of the Electronics and Computational Sector. I would suggest you to perhaps try for IT at IET or any other good Core Branch at HBTU Kanpur. HBTU Kanpur have much better Placements than IET. The Situation of Campus Placements in Most Institutes in UP apart from Top Government and State Engineering Colleges apart from the many Private ones around Noida are worse. However, IET Lucknow ECE apart from having average to good Placements, with somewhat 60-70% Students getting Placed, has recently seen trend of many students preparing for GATE and moving to Higher Technical Institutes like Top IITs, NITs and IISc Bangalore for MTech in Electronics/EC/VLSI Engineering followed by a strong career in the Technology Sector as well as many crack PSU Exams. Many even prepare for CAT followed by admission in Top Management Institutes like IIML, IITR, DMS, MDI, SPJIMR, IMT Ghaziabad, IEM IIT Kanpur among many others after BTech for MBA.

Dear Student,
You can't get any of the NIT, IIIT, GFTI or IET Lucknow with this rank because it is too much. Your rank should be under 50K so that you can expect some GFTI or the sate government college.
So it will be more good if you participate in the UPSEE counselling of Uttar pradesh and try to grab some good private colleges with this rank like-
You can use this college predictor link so that you can find some good colleges according to your rank.

Good Luck :)
Dear Student,
HBTU, IET, MMM, are some of the best colleges of UP and if you need these colleges then you also need some good JEE rank.
You should come under the rank of 40K for the safe side if you want any these colleges and if you want CSE here then your rank should be under 20K. Rank here I'm talking about is CRL rank.
As your rank is 2,10,000 then there is no chance that you can able to get any of the branch in any way here. so it will be more good if you try some other colleges. You can try some top private colleges of UP like ABES, Galgotias, KIET, AKGEC, etc.
Moreover you can use this link to find some good colleges for yourself according to your rank.

Hello Aspirant,
See this is the first time when UPSEE colleges are going to take admission on the basis of JEE-Main score so IET Lucknow being an UPSEE college makes bit difficult to predict admission chances in it because without any past record we cannot help you with it but if we go through previous year's data of seat allotment on the basis of data mentioned in the question by you, you can go for the enlisted colleges :-
Institute of Technology, Guru Ghasidas Vishwavidyalaya (A Central University), Bilaspur, (C.G.) - Civil Engineering (63309)
Mizoram University, Aizawl - Electrical Engineering (62907)
National Institute of Foundry & Forge Technology, Hatia, Ranchi - Mechanical Engineering (57418)
And some more. You can check out previous year's cut-offs from the official website of JOSAA as given below :-
https://josaa.nic.in/Result/Result/currentorcr.aspx
Note that the above list is merely a prediction which has been made on the basis of latest cut-offs available on official website of either JOSAA or CSAB and the cut-offs are bound to change every year depending upon various factors such as the number of candidates appearing in an examination, the number of candidates qualifying an examination, difficulty level of the paper, and so on.
So you can use JEE-Main College Predictor to predict your chances of admission in different engineering colleges of India on the basis of your JEE-Main 2021 result :-
https://engineering.careers360.com/jee-main-college-predictor?icn=QnA&ici=qna_answer
You can also check out the JEE-Main 2021 cut-off and know whether you have qualified for JEE-Advance 2021 or not, so it is given below :-
==>> Common Rank List (CRL) - 87.8992241-100.0000000 Percentile
==>> GEN-EWS - 66.2214845-87.8950071 Percentile
==>> Other Backward Classes (OBC-NCL) - 68.0234447-87.8950071 Percentile
==>> Scheduled Caste (SC) - 46.8825338-87.8950071 Percentile
==>> Scheduled Tribe (ST) - 34.6728999 87.8474721 Percentile
==>> PwD - 0.0096375-87.8273359 Percentile
You can check more details about JEE-Main 2021 cut-offs from the link given below :-

I hope this information helps you.
Good Luck for your future!!
Hello,
Earlier the admission was based on merit in UPSEEE. Since form this year IET admission will be based on merit in JEE Main. As previous cut off data is not available it is quite difficult to predict the score required to get admission in IET, Lucknow. As IET, Lucknow is one of the top institutes in Uttar Pradesh the cut off is expected to be high. So a safe percentile would be in between 94-97 percentile. So you should aim to score minimum 94-97 percentile or above in JEE Main.
For IET you need 70000 approx. rank, in 84805 there is not good chances to get IET, Lucknow.
Thank you
Hi aspirant,
You want to know about whether you will be able to get A seat in IET, Lucknow or not.
IET, Lucknow is considered as a prestigious college in the region. Securing a seat in the IET, Lucknow is not very easy.
Till 2021 IET, Lucknow was taking admission on the basis of rank in UPSEEE exam but from 2021 onwards it has started taking admission on the basis of JEE main Exam.
Since, there is no previous data available for cut-off of IET, Lucknow on the basis of JEE exam. Therefore, It will not be easy to say that whether you will get admission in IET, Lucknow or not.
But I would like to suggest you that you should try for the college because admission in such Colleges are affected by various factors such as difficulty level of exam, number of students and seats available and thr category to which you belong.
You can also try for state government colleges. Here your chance of admission increases.
As per your Question, If you will not be able to get IET, Lucknow then you can check the link below where you can predict your college according to your percentile and Category.
https://engineering.careers360.com/jee-main-college-predictor?icn=QnA&ici=qna_answer
Hope this will Help You!
All the best.
Hi,
With 94 percentile ,your CRL rank would be around 57000+ . As per previous year trend, the last admitted rank for IET Lucknow is given below:
1. For General ,the last rank was 10,250
2. For OBC, the last rank was 3650
3. For SC,the last rank was 12600
4. For ST, the Last Rank was 27000.
All these Rankings are for UP Domicile.
So, if you belong to General category ,then you had less chance of getting seat in IET. But if you belong to other categories then you can get into IET.
Thanks!!!!
The library is good; all books are available in our college library. There is no need to buy books from outside as the library allows borrowing books for a particular time. Classes are fully modern and clean. The computer labs are also clean, and all systems are in running condition. Wi-Fi facility is available but does not work properly.
The quality of food in the mess is the worst. The college doesn't have proper medical facilities. The hostels have less number of toilets and washrooms. The canteen food is okay. The campus is very small so there are very few options for sports. College is having table tennis, badminton court, basketball court. It doesn't have a cricket ground, football ground and a volleyball court.
There are many facilities in the hostel such as Wi-Fi, library and playing ground. There is also a canteen, and the entire campus has Wi-Fi. There is a library, etc. The quality of food served is excellent, and the canteen is also good. Medical facilities are available.
