Hello Amit,

Any decision regarding selection of an B-school majorly depends on these two factors:

1. Interest: In my opinion your interest in the field of MBA is most important. If you are interested in the subjects which will be taught to you during your management program, you will automatically learn with great agility and grab a good job too (assuming you want that in the end). In IMI you are getting BKFS. So if you are really interested in the banking finance field, you should opt for this only. If not, do not go for the brand name that IMI carries, go for NIRMA instead.

2. ROI: Return of Investment is a factor which comes second in this list. Picking a brand or saving money is always a hard choice to make, even in our daily lives. But let me tell you something, you'll do MBA once and most probably it'll be last degree of your life. Do it wholeheartedly. Don't think too much about money (unless you are financially very weak). Money will come with time if you work hard and with passion. Being in a big college doesn't only gives you huge packages but it also provides you with an exposure which is priceless. So, here also I would suggest you to go for IMI.

Hello Arshit,

IMI K provides 100% placements, IBS Hyderabad lags by almost 5–10 %. Coming to the number of students, 2018–20 batch of IMI K consists of 167 students while of IBS Hyderabad consists almost 1200 students which is a huge difference! The competition between students for any particular company rises by 10 times in IBS Hyderabad than IMI K at the time of placements. The next point is when a company looks for the college in a particular area, In Hyderabad apart from IBS, there are various other colleges such as Symbiosis Hyderabad, NMIMS Hyderabad etc and many more. While in Kolkata there is no other Tier 3 college in that part of the country which is a huge advantage for IMI Kolkata.

So from these insights, I hope the picture is clear to you, that IMI Kolkata is better.

Hope this helps.

Hello Avinash,

I would like to say that, in any institute you may study, because every institutes have their own way of teaching, this is my view about institutes but if you want to know that which is better, then you should ask the individuals who is or who was studying in that institute.
You should focus on yourself and your study.

All the best.

The admission done on the basis of eligibility criteria as well as cut off. youl need to go through the cut off list first. becasue the cut off list fluctuate every year on the basis of the number of students particiapting in it and what are the highest marks and lowest marks. so wait for the cut off list. if you ar eligible then your name willbe shostlisted in the further process for admission. and then the verification of your doccumenst will be done such as you r 10th and 12 th marks will be checked adn if you have anyt work experience is there then taht will also be get checked . and then after that the final admission process wil take place after that , which may include essay writting , personal interview or many more test which are totaly depend on the university only. and the final aadmission are done on the basis of your 12th accademics result and your knowledge. so this is the process you may get admission their. so go through your cut off list and tehn afetr you will follow this process. all the very best have a great future haead.

yes, for sure you can get admission in IMI DELHI for PGDM easily as th eligibility criteria is 50 percent in their under gradute programme. studnet must score 50 percent in any discipline from a recognised university in inida or abroad. therefore the final selection should be done on the basis of cut off. candidate appering on the final year of their bachelor degree can also apply for the admission process for pgdm. participating for pgdm programme one should be graudtae freshly or have a work experience if there is a gap in between the gradation and applying for the pgdm. so need not to woprry for that you can easily get admission with the required percntile you have got in pgdm course in IMI delhi. so all the very best for your future. have a freat future ahead.

Hey Rohit, Basically no information has been provided by the official website of IMI regarding the weightage they provide to work experience.

But generally, work experience is always considered and is given preference always with respect to selection. It can give some leniency when considering the percentile score. Therefore, work experience is an added advantage.

hello,

International Management Institute (IMI) New Delhi, one of the premier B-schools of India has taken steps to promote academic and gender diversity in its class rooms. The highly ranked Corporate Sponsored B-school is expected to shortlist the candidates for final selection round in a ratio of more than 1:10 for all the three PGDM programmes.

it is expected that IMI Delhi CAT 2018 cut offs may remain more or less same for PGDM 2019-21

so the cutoff for this year that is 2019 is

PGDM - 88-90 th percentile

PGD - HRM 85-88 th percentile

PGDM  (banking and finacial service ) - 85-88 percentile

you have a chances of getting admission into later two courses so grab the golden opportunity

hope this helps you !

all the best

Hey Saloni,

Yes you should definitely apply for IMI as you have good chance to convert your call if your Gd and PI goes good.
