The Wi-Fi facility is free all over the campus. The recreation room consists of the indoor gaming facility. All the classrooms have inbuilt projectors. Also, the auditorium is the best. Also, it has a big parking space. The canteen in JBIMS is good, and they provide good food.
The faculty at JBIMS are one of the best in the country. Many industry stalwarts come here to teach. They mainly focus on the practical perspectives. Many of the faculty are the alumni of JBIMS, and they come here with love and teach students. Many of the faculty members are in the big position on very reputed MNCs.
The placement was good in the last season and for this year's finals as well. Many of the investment banks, corporates visited campus. The packages offered are way better than many of the B-schools. Many big FMCG, banks, equity research firms visited the campus. The average salary offered was around 18 lakhs per annum.
Here, the building are good , If you want to have all the lavish facilities that you expect, then be ready to be disappointed a bit. But except for the building, there are other bright spots about JB. I would like to mention about the library here at JB as it is considered to be one of the largest libraries
Similarly, marketing is taught by the first marketing consultant of the country, and such is the aura of the professors at our college. It can happen only at JB. The teaching methods applied here is one of their kind, and equal emphasis is laid upon giving the students practical knowledge along with the long and rigorous classroom hours.
I am a first-year student at the college. It has been only a month, and many of the companies have already delivered their pre-placement talks. Talking about the previous batch, they have got 100% placements with an average package of 18.91 lacs per annum with the top recruiters being McKinsey India, HUL, Samsung Electronics and many more.
the infrastructure was not up to the mark. There is no hostel provided by the college and outsiders use the Mumbai University hostel common hostel at Churchgate. The classrooms are funded by ex-students and hence they have all the modern amenities. Recently we have formed a small gym for indoor games
faculty members and around about 24 odd part time faculty members from the industry. Teaching pedagogy was case-study based learning which was based on the practical application of concepts and techniques. We have the best-in-class industry experts in finance and marketing who have decade long experience in the industry.
The batch gets placed easily with the help of placement committee in finals and summers. As college is in the heart of the financial hub of Mumbai, lots of financial services companies visit the campus. Marketing students also get decent opportunities to make careers at FMCG companies, but the number of companies offering marketing roles are very less. As the count of operations batch is very less; Ops students find it very difficult to get good placement as rarely any operations role is offered by companies. The average salary offered is in the range of 13-16 LPA and companies from all verticals
I would like to share that JBIMS is a student-driven college where the students actively participate in competitions with guidance from faculty. The student count is low (~ 120) hence placement is not a big issue as more or less whole batch gets placed easily with help of alumni from the last 50 years. You will miss the hostel life as most of the students live on their own at their own arrangements.
The infrastructure is pretty .There is just one building in the campus area, and that too is pretty old but it is the famous Red Brick wall building, and it is the legacy of the institute. The library is equipped with latest and most advanced subscriptions of various research journals.
The teachers here are world-class. They come with distinctive industry experience and impart that knowledge in their teachings. We have the distinguished faculty from every field in the industry. Most of the time, the lectures are taken by the industry experts,
the number of students seems to be growing everywhere. Overall, the placements are pretty awesome here. The major FMCG companies like HUL and some banks like BofA and StancCalso visited the campus. Reliance, Directi, P&G, Kraft Heinz, Vodafone, Infosys, McKinsey, Accenture are some of the big names.
The buildings look like a perfect government building. The college needs to work a lot regarding infrastructure. However, the brand name, faculty members, and placements are somehow good here. The location of the college is good.
They encourage the students regarding curriculum as well as extracurricular activities. As the college is affiliated to Mumbai University, we follow the course curriculum of Mumbai University. We get a dual degree of MBA and MS, and the syllabus is also designed in such a way.
JBIMS is equal to IIMs. Our college is better than IIMs regarding ROI. The highest salary package offered is excellent and extremely good. This is a government aided college, and the fee is less than that of a PGDM course. The median salary package offered is 13 LPA.
the classrooms and the washrooms are built in a modern way. The classrooms are provided with air-conditioners, projectors, etc. The canteen provides the amazing food, and all the varieties of food are available in it. The classrooms are well-equipped to handle at least 100 students at one time, with the microphones and the speakers
The faculty from the industry giving theoretical as well as practical knowledge to the students. We had the subjects like financial management, technical analysis, fixed income, econometrics, financial markets, statistics, economics, mergers and acquisitions, portfolio management, regulatory environment, corporate finance.
Until the end of the placements, all the students placed in finance-related roles with an average package of 10 lakhs per annum. The companies like Goldman Sachs, ICICI Bank, HDFC, AMC, Indus valley partners, RBI Bank came for the placements to the college. The process was the pre-placement talk followed by the application selection group discussion and then shortlisting the students for personal interviews.
The infrastructural facilities are average as compared to other campuses. The campus includes single building with a decent sized auditorium, classrooms, library and canteen, leisure and committee rooms. No other facility like sports ground, Medical facilities is available on the campus. The classroom and washrooms are in below average conditions. The canteen serves average food and operates from Monday to Saturday 8 AM-8 PM which might fall outside of lecture schedule. There are better eating facilities outside campus. The hostel facility offered by the institute is only for boy students with 60 occupancy for senior and junior batch combined. This facility is not available for girls.
teachers are very qualified. Some of the teachers belong to big industries and are visiting faculty. The teaching methods of some of the professors are very good. Self study and timely completion of assignments are very important. The course curriculum is elaborate but it might lack bridging the gap between theory and current aspects.
Summer placements for students of first year Batch of 2020 saw extremely good results. The Key recruiters which visit the campus are McKinsey & Company, Goldman Sachs, HUL, P&G, Barclays, GSK, JSW, Piramal, Abbott, RIL etc. The sectors from which these companies belong are Consulting, BFSI and IB, FMCG, Pharmaceuticals and Healthcare, Manufacturing and others. There were 15 new recruiters which included reputed firms like Tata Administrative Services (TAS), Accenture Strategy, Deloitte USI, Castrol, Axis Bank, Pernod Ricard. The highest stipend offered was 5.5 lacs and average o 1.89 lacs. Out of 137 students who participated in the placement process, 8 students are in the process of getting placed as the process has not yet completed. The final placements of batch of 2019 will be starting next month. The final placements for Batch of 2018 saw the highest package being offered as 30 lacs and average of 18.91 lacs. Close to 50% of the batch was offered PPOs and PPIs. The placement cell is highly active. With JBIMS being a student driven college, the Placement Cell managed by Students take on a huge responsibility of getting the batch placed with excellent results.
it good institute has classrooms with all the latest technology and facilities. The institute has a auditorium named "Dr. K. S. Basu memorial auditorium" which has sitting capacity ofa150 people. The library of the jbims is one of the best in town. It has collection of close to 40000 books in addition to thousands of journals in the campus.
The management and faculty at Jbims is the best you can get. We have people from industries teaching us. The teaching methods are very enriching for the students. Both the visiting and core faculty are highly qualified. As the batch size of jbims is less, the student to faculty ratio is low Little bit better
JBIMS completed it's summer placement for the batch of 2020 in which about 52 companies participated. The highest stipend offered was Rs 5.5 Lacs for two months. The average stipend offered was Rs 1.89 Lacs for two months. BFSI & IB sector was the biggest recruiter with about 30% of batch bagging roles in it.
Good infrastructure of JBIMS is not big by any means, but the Red Bricked building has some character to it. The classrooms are air conditioned and have Wi-Fi. The food is clean and the canteen staff is extremely friendly and helpful. JBIMS doesn't have a hostel of its own. 25 students (on merit basis) are given accommodation in the Mumbai University hostel at Marine Drive at just 7k per year fees.
The JBIMS has in-house and visiting faculty members. Being located in the vicinity of many major companies' Head Quarters, industry leaders and alums come and teach students with their vast industry experience, The cases given are extremely relevant. The curriculum of JBIMS is just as g
Summer placements for the batch 2018-20 exceeded all expectations. The highest stipend bagged stood at an astounding 5.5L while the median stipend stood at 1.7L. Consulting firms, BFSI, FMCG firms showed a lot of interest in the batch. The final placement will commence shortly and a major part of already placed by PPOs. The final placements are expected to be just as good as summer placements if not better.

Good afternoon,
Officially, JBIMS has no management quota.
Admission to JBIMS is entirely merit-based through CAP rounds conducted by DTE Maharashtra. The selection process uses entrance test scores such as MAH CET, CAT, CMAT, or GMAT for foreign and NRI applicants.
Reliable sources consistently confirm that JBIMS does not offer any management quota seats. All 120 MMS seats are filled through the Central Allotment Process.
Several unofficial websites and consultancies claim that JBIMS offers a small percentage, typically between 3 and 15 percent, of management quota seats at much higher fees. However, these claims are not verified and contradict the official policies of JBIMS.
