Jamtara College, Jamtara, is one of the most prestigious constituent colleges in the Jamtara district of Jharkhand. The college, which boasts a history of over six decades, has been committed to providing quality education to students from varied backgrounds. The admission process of Jamtara College is made student-centered and inclusive for the choice of meritorious students in the undergraduate courses of the college.
The Jamtara College offers a combination of undergraduate courses with 22 full-time arts and science courses. The general eligibility for the majority of the undergraduate courses is passing 10+2 or equivalent exam from a recognized board. Some subjects have to be completed as per the course of study opted.

Degree wise Admission Process
BA Courses: Jamtara College provides a variety of BA (Honours) courses, such as Maithili, Bangla, Psychology, Mathematics, History, Philosophy, Political Science, Economics, Santhali, Sanskrit, Urdu, Hindi, and English. The candidates are typically chosen on the basis of marks in the 10+2 examination with emphasis on the relevant subjects.
B.Sc Courses: The college provides B.Sc (Honours) in Mathematics, Zoology, Botany, Physics, and Chemistry. General B.Sc and special combinations such as Chemistry-Physics-Mathematics and Chemistry-Botany-Zoology are also offered by the college. The science courses typically have admission based on merit in good academic record in concerned subjects at 10+2 level.
