Jawad Ali Shah Imambara Girls PG College, Gorakhpur Admission Process

The Jawad Ali Shah Imambara Girls PG College, Gorakhpur, has stated that it is an affiliated college which runs a wide range of both undergraduate and postgraduate courses in some selective arts and humanities. The institution is mostly a women's college and has a very uncomplicated, merit-based admission process. BA Programs: Eight BA programs are open with different intakes for a BA course. Admission for BA courses is based on academic merit of the candidates in their 10+2 examinations. The availability of programs and their seat allocations are as follows:

  • BA Education: 240 seats
  • BA Urdu: 240 seats
  • BA Hindi: 180 seats
  • BA English: 180 seats
  • BA Economics: 180 seats
  • BA Medieval History: 180 seats
  • BA Sanskrit: 180 seats
  • BA Sociology: 180 seats

Usually its min eligibility should be 10+2 from a recognized board with specific combinations of subjects dependent on the respective course chosen.

Jawad Ali Shah Imambara Girls PG College provides two courses of study for postgraduate students:

  • MA Urdu: 60 seats
  • MA Medieval History: 60 seats

MA courses also follow a merit-based process of admission, bases of merit from the applicants' bachelor's degree performance. To be eligible, one is required to hold a bachelor's degree in a relevant subject or in a related discipline from a recognized university.
