Infrastructure is good, but the labs are a little disappointing but not bad. Spacious classrooms, labs, library has space to study and a computer room to study e-journals. Campus is clean and well maintained.
I'm in first year of BTech in IT. The teachers are average. Many of them are ex students of this college. Not good, not so bad also. We have flexible curriculum, there are many other activities too. But I can't say that it completely makes us job ready.
As I'm only in first year, I can't properly say about this but seniors whom I know are placed in mass recruiter TCS. But the college works to provide the placement to the students. There are soft skills classes which teach us how to be professional. But at the end it depends on the individual how well they perform.
My course cost 1lakh -1.5lakh per year. Yeah I think I'm getting my money's worth because of all the facilities provided.
Campus is good, many grounds enough space to organize functions.
My college was above my expectations, even if it may lack some things but the college is working it's best to give the best to the students. Students are provided with many opportunities other than studies. There are many clubs to showcase your talent and mingle up with like minded people. Students compete in national level Competitions. College provides all facilities.
There are 2 hostel for boys , 1st year boys hostel is outside the campus and 2nd ,3rd,4th year share a hostel inside the campus , 1more hostel for all the girls, hostel occupy is limited in both girls and boys hostel ,class room are well furnished with projectors and other equipment, labs are in good condition and library equipped with limited books , wifi available in campus but with a limit of 34mb per day, MITS have the best campus infrastructure compare to all other state Gov. College.
Daily classes start at 10:00am and then end 5:00PM , There is also a lunch hour and the assignment and teaching methods all are very good. Companies like IBM , Capgemini, Wipro , TCS , Quicker etc used to come for campus placement or to hair students for job , Alumni of MITS are at very good positions , Even director of IIT KANPUR is from MITS GWALIOR.
The companies that hire from our campus are Crompton greaves Pvt Ltd , Schneider electric Pvt Ltd , Britannia etc and such other renowned and famous companies . The average salary is 3.5 LPA and the highest one are 11LPA which is recently given by quicker in 2016 to CSE student
This year fees of college get hiked, and its cost around 1.1LPA for each course of B.teach for 3year . As we know our college is reputable and company prefer our college over other because of strong alumini record .
There is club like music , Dance , NSS , NCC and other kind of technical and non technical club are also there , and student love to interact with seniors and batch mate in their respective club activities and it give support to students who want to showcase their hidden talent.
College admission procedure is in the basis of JEE MAINS exam result . One get this respected college on the basis of his or her own rank .
The admission process for MITS Gwalior, like most NITs and private engineering institutions, is based on the rank obtained in the JEE Main exam, and the cutoffs for various branches and categories can vary each year. Based on your CRL rank of 725784 and your Gen EWS rank of 91098, getting admission into MITS Gwalior in popular branches like Computer Science Engineering (CSE), Mechanical Engineering, or Civil Engineering may be difficult, especially for the general category, given the typically high demand for these branches.
Here’s a breakdown:
CSE (Computer Science Engineering) :
CSE is one of the most sought-after branches at any institution, and the cutoffs for this branch are usually very high. With your CRL and Gen EWS ranks, securing a seat in CSE might be a challenge, especially if you are competing with candidates from all over the country.
Mechanical Engineering :
Mechanical Engineering is also a popular branch, but the cutoff ranks tend to be lower than CSE. However, your rank might still be higher than the typical cutoff for this branch in MITS Gwalior, even with home state quota.
Civil Engineering :
Civil Engineering typically has a slightly lower cutoff compared to CSE and Mechanical Engineering, which may increase your chances of getting a seat. If you are considering this branch, you might have a better chance of admission, but it will still depend on the exact cutoff trends for that year.
Home State Quota (Madhya Pradesh) :
Home state quota may provide some relaxation in cutoffs, but the competition is still intense, and cutoffs are subject to fluctuation each year. The home state quota can help reduce the rank required, but your CRL rank will still play a significant role.
Conclusion : While it is unlikely to secure a seat in highly competitive branches like CSE at MITS Gwalior with your current ranks, you may have better chances in Civil Engineering with the home state quota. It's crucial to check the official cutoff trends for the current year through the official JoSAA website or MITS Gwalior’s counseling details for more accurate information.
I recommend you keep an eye on the official counseling updates and consider other options as well to ensure a broader range of opportunities. Good luck!
With an 86 percentile (rank 195589) in JEE Main, you are likely to be able to get admission to Madhav Institute of Technology and Science (MITS) Gwalior, but potentially for less competitive B.Tech programs. Specifically, you might have a good chance at programs like B.Tech in Information Engineering, Artificial Intelligence and Data Science, or Computer Science and Design, as these programs had closing ranks in the 130,000-150,000 range in 2024 for the general category.
