MSIT Delhi Facilities

Maharaja Surajmal Institute of Technology, Delhi has several infrastructural facilities for students and staff members. Audio-video equipment like projectors, and projection boards for modern and interactive teaching and learning is installed in the classrooms. Each department has its own laboratory for hands-on learning. MIST Delhi facilities include six computer laboratories with high-speed internet connectivity.

The library has a large collection of books and is fully computerised. Both boys and girls have separate hostels with all the necessary facilities. There is also an indoor and outdoor sports facility. Maharaja Surajmal Institute of Technology facilities include a large playground for various sports such as football, volleyball, cricket, badminton etc. Facilities for indoor games such as carrom, table tennis, chess and Chinese checkers are also available.

There are three seminar halls at MSIT Delhi. These fully air-conditioned halls each have a seating capacity of 150 people and are well-equipped with current audio-visual equipment. Guest lectures and invited talks by professionals in various disciplines of science and technology are routinely held in halls. Other MSIT Delhi facilities include a cafeteria, auditorium, medical facility, Wi-Fi, IT infrastructure, laboratories, banking facility and many more.

Boys Hostel
MSIT Delhi facilities and infrastructure includes separate hostels for boys on campus. MSIT Delhi boys hostel features single and double occupancy rooms to ensure that students have good accommodation. The hostel has all facilities like water and electricity are provided 24 hours a day, 7 days a week in the hostel. The hostel also has an air-conditioned guest room for visiting parents, as well as indoor game facilities and a first-aid facility. Students residing in the hostel can get homely meals at very low prices from a well-maintained mess that is hygienically cleaned and has adequate cooking facilities.
Girls Hostel
On the campus premises, there are separate hostel facilities for girl students. The girls’ hostel facilities include a water and electricity facility, air-conditioned guest room, indoor game facilities, first-aid facility and mess facility for students.
Medical/Hospital
On the campus, there is a resident physician as well as a psychologist. For emergency medical cases, the college has ties with a nearby hospital, Janakpuri Super Speciality Hospital.
Library
MSIT Delhi facilities and infrastructure includes a library in the institute for students and staff members. MSIT Delhi features a well-equipped and well-organized central library and book bank. It was founded in 1982 and now provides a well-stocked inventory of textbooks and reference books, journals and periodicals, audio-visuals, CDs, E-resources, and other materials covering a wide range of educational disciplines. MSIT Delhi library facilities include inter-library linkage facility from other libraries through DELNET, subscription to printed periodicals and journals, printed general and technical magazines and newspapers. It has an online document reservation system through Web OPAC. MSIT Delhi has fully air-conditioned reading rooms. It also has access to other online resources like NPTEL, NDL, subject notes, previous year question papers and other useful e-resources.
Sports
Football, volleyball, cricket, badminton, and other sports are played on well-kept playgrounds within the institute. There are also facilities for indoor games such as carrom, table tennis, chess, and chinese checkers. These extracurricular activities help in the development of students' personalities and confidence.
I.T Infrastructure
MSIT Delhi facilities and infrastructure include well-maintained IT infrastructure in the institute. Visual Studio,.Net 2003, Auto Cad 2004, MS Office Professional 2003, Oracle 9i, TASM, and Orcad are all licenced applications in all laboratories. A radio link is also available for high-speed internet access.
Cafeteria
MSIT Delhi facilities include a cafeteria for students in the institute. Students can refresh themselves with tea and food in the cafeteria whenever they find time during their hectic study schedules. The cafeteria has been built to provide a peaceful environment in which students can discuss academics and plan their day's activities. The cafeteria has a seating capacity of 60 students.
Auditorium
Inside the campus, there is a completely air-conditioned auditorium with seating for over 1000 people. It is well-equipped with all of the latest audio-visual equipment. Seminars, conferences, and cultural functions are held in the auditorium.

MSIT Delhi facilities include high-speed internet and Wi-Fi connectivity for students and faculty members in the institute.
Laboratories
MSIT Delhi facilities include well-equipped laboratories that allow for both practical and theoretical learning. For various workshops, there are well-equipped labs for Applied Sciences, Applied Mechanics and Electrical Engineering labs. The Department of Electronics and Communications Engineering contains eight contemporary laboratories that cover all of the essential subjects. Also, there is a VLSI Design lab and a Satellite and Mobile Communications lab.
Banks/ATMs
The institute also has banking facilities on the campus for students and faculty members.

College Infrastructure

MSIT is under IP University and another renowned college after MAIT. Campus is not so big still not bad. Transport and food is easily available. Canteen offering good quality of food. Classroom, offices and Library is average.

College Infrastructure

According to me, it is a modern campus with all the necessary facilities. Students have access to updated classrooms, computer labs, and a library full of resources. The campus is Wi-Fi enabled which is not available most of the time. There are also medical services available for emergencies, offcourse it is important. The college has sports area. A new building is being constructed to make the campus even better.

JEE Result is out and my son has got 140000 rank with Delhi as home state in general category. He is interested only in CS. From the last year data, it appears that he will get Bharti Vidyapeeth in second or third round though he is more interested in MSIT CS. My question is, if we freeze the Bharti Vidyapeeth in third round and pay the fee, is my son still eligible for spot round 1 and 2 to try for MSIT ? We want to make sure that there is no impact on the allocated seat in the third round. Briefly, don't want to take risk of losing the allocated seat. Please suggest if it is possible?

Hello there,

If your son freezes the Bharti Vidyapeeth seat in the third round and pays the fee , it locks the seat and essentially means that he accepts the offer from that college.

Here’s what you need to know:

JOSAA Freeze Option : Once you choose to "freeze" a seat and pay the fee, you are not eligible for further rounds of counseling, including spot rounds . This is because freezing signifies that you are satisfied with the allocated seat, and you're accepting it, preventing participation in further rounds.
Options After Freezing : If your son is serious about MSIT CS and doesn't want to risk losing that opportunity, it’s better not to freeze the seat at Bharti Vidyapeeth. Instead, you can opt for:
- Float or Slide options, which would allow you to retain the Bharti Vidyapeeth seat and try for MSIT in subsequent rounds.
- Spot round participation : If you freeze, you cannot participate in spot rounds. So, do not freeze the seat unless you're absolutely sure you want to take it and give up on MSIT.
  
  Suggestion:

To ensure eligibility for MSIT and also keep Bharti Vidyapeeth as a backup, I would recommend not freezing the seat in the third round. Opt for the float option if possible and keep exploring through the next rounds, including the spot rounds . This will allow your son to try for MSIT while securing a seat at Bharti Vidyapeeth as a backup.

If you do freeze and pay the fee, you will lose eligibility for the spot rounds, so weigh the options carefully.

I have 92 percentile in JEE mains, can I get good IP colleges like MAIT, MSIT, BVP etc?
