Maharajadhiraj Uday Chand Women's College (MUC Women's College), Burdwan, is one of the most renowned institutions for women's education in West Bengal. The college has a merit-based admission system for all its undergraduate and postgraduate programs. As an NAAC-accredited constituent college, MUC Women's College is offering courses in a wide variety of subjects to cater to young women's myriad academic interests. Degree wise Admission Process
B.A. Programs: MUC Women's College offers B.A. programs in subjects such as Bengali, English, History, Political Science, Philosophy, Sanskrit, and Education. B.A. admissions strictly follow merit lists. Morning and Day Shift options are provided for a number of B.A. programs. For example, there are 960 seats available for the B.A. Morning Shift and 381 for the B.A. Day Shift.
B.Sc. Programs: The students are offered B.Sc. programs in Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Zoology, Botany, and Computer Science. The admissions to these programs are also carried out on a merit basis. The B.Sc. Day Shift has 160 seats available for this program.
Special Programs: The specialized programs of MUC Women's College include B.A. in Mass Communication and Journalism, B.Sc. in Microbiology, and B.Sc. in Nutrition. The programs have very few seats and are based on merit selection.
Economics: The college offers B.A. and B.Sc. in Economics, each having 78 seats. Admission to both courses is strictly on merits.
I was studying bachelor of science Hons in microbiology to as I had a keen interest in micro organisms and all. The quality of overall educational settings here is quite good as well. Experienced faculties deliver quality education to each and every students. This college has different ug and pg courses. The curriculum is CBCS based . But being a graduation degree course our college doesn't make us job ready.
