Will I be allowed to participate in JoSAA right from the first round? Or will I be called in in the successive rounds, based on my rank?

Hello aspirant!

You can apply to JOSAA Counselling from the very first round. You can just register without any fees and list the colleges that you are interested in and which you think are favourable according to your rank. If you have a good rank for any of the listed colleges, you will be called for physical counselling.

Jee has declared it's cut off in form of percentile and if your percentile is more than mentioned below you are eligible and if not than no you are not.

So check the result sheet again for the percentile.

I have filled wrong category in JEE (M) . Will I able to appear for the JOSAA counselling??

In the "Business rules for Joint Seat Allocation" given by JOSSA it is clearly mentioned that you can not change your category at the time of registration in JOSSA website.

I will suggest you to directly contact the JOSSA authorities because only they can help you in this case.

Yes there is hope because jossa is having 6-7 rounds and you may get the college.

Based on this rank the chances are less to get a seat in NITs, IIITs and GFTIs. You can try for the other state level counselling admission. To know your admission possibilities in state level colleges admission, You can use JEE Main college Predictor tool given below.

I have got 15000 rank in jee paper 2 .will I get admission through JOSAA

Hello aspirant!

If you belong to the general category, I am sorry to say that you will not be able to get a seat in any government colleges through JOSAA. Maybe you can try for some private colleges that are mentioned in JOSAA counselling. For further details you can check the previous year cut-offs on the JOSAA website.

No with this percentile you have a very low chance of getting into NIT. As ews is new category cutoff can vary for that this year and noone has exact idea about its cutoffs, but you can refer to previous year general cutoffs on the following link of NITs

Can I get into NITs or SPA with a rank of 2471 in the OBC category in the JEE Mains paper 2 2019 through the CSAB/JOSAA counciling ?

Hi Dev,

The closing rank for admission in NITs last year into BArch program was less than 1000 for OBC NCL category while for SPAs it was around 700. For BPlanning the cut-off went up slightly to 1200 in SPAs. This year's cut-offs are also expected to be similar. Hence, your chances of getting into any NIT or SPA are negligible.
