The MKR Government Degree College, located in Devrakonda of Nalgonda District, Telangana, is a State institution. Admissions to undergraduate programs of the college are made strictly on the basis of merit.  Admissions to the MKR Government Degree College are mostly given on the basis of marks obtained in 10+2 or equivalent qualifying examination in order to select the deserving candidates based on merit in higher secondary examination. The medium of instruction is English and Telugu, so as to satisfy the requirement of the regional language. Accordingly, for any academic session, the total intake of all undergraduate courses is 1,158 students. The college is set in a co-educational atmosphere with a male-female ratio of 3:1, ensuring equal opportunity in being educated.

3. The applicant has to submit their required documents, including:

4. Subsequently, the college prepares the merit list based on the score in the qualifying examination.

5. Shortlisted candidates shall then be counseled and allotted chairs according to their merit and availability.

6. Successful candidates shall pay their fees in order to secure their admission.

7. At the time of admission, the college will carry out document verification.

Degree wise Admission Process

B.Com Banking Insurance and Computer Applications: It provides teaching to banking and insurance application to commerce subjects. Admission is on merit in the list based on marks obtained in the qualifying examination (10+2 or equivalent) with respect to commerce-related subjects.

B.Sc Life Science: This program caters to students pursuing biological sciences. The admission shall consider the marks obtained in the qualifying examination especially in biology and other related subjects.

B.Sc Physical Science: This program is for students pursuing physical sciences. Entry is granted on a merit list drawn up on the basis of marks in the qualifying examination, especially in physics, chemistry, and mathematics.

BA Telugu Medium: This degree is specialized for the students from the Telugu medium. The admission is based on marks in the qualifying examination pertaining to language and other relevant subjects.

BA (General): The general BA program is for students who want basic training in the arts and related sciences. Admission is based on merit from the scores of the qualifying examination in relevant subjects.
