Dear Student,

These colleges are really good but in my opinion Dr. B.C. Roy College of Engineering is better option for CSE course.

The infrastructure, faculty and placement everything is good in this college. The play ground of this college is very big and the whole campus is also big in size. Every department is very unique and the labs are very well decorated with it's instruments. The faculties are very well educated and student friendly too they make the students ready for the placement. The library is really full of books, magazines etc. The placement is really very good in this college. Almost 100% students from this stream get placed.  The companies like, Capgimini, Cognizant, Wipro come here every year for placement purposes.

Thank You.

Hii,

I understand your dilemma. What I suggest you to use careers 360 college comparison.  It will be very helpful to you. I am providing a link to you for the same. Hope that it will be quite helpful to you as it will provide detailed analysis. https://dqxeclau.top/compare-colleges?icn=college-compare_landing-page&ici=other-products-section_c360-home

The placements have been consistently good for the past few years (near about 90%). Students have got placements in many well reputed companies. Companies like Infosys, TCS, CTS, Capegemini etc. visited the campus and seniors are well satisfied with the placements.

The placement cell of this college is good. Many reputed companies visit the campus for placements. This year, about 80% of students got a job with good salary packages. Other than IT companies, core companies like LNT, Cineplex, etc., visit the campus for placements. From the civil department, almost 75% of the students got placed. They are looking forward to better results in future.

ALL THE BEST

Dear Student,

Narula Institute of Technology is a self-governed for profit engineering college at Agarpara in Kolkata. This is really a very good college for its placement, infrastructure and faculties. There are so scholarship facilities in this institutes.

Infrastructure and Faculties:

The faculties are very much well educated and student friendly. They make students eligible for the placement. The campus is too good. The labs are also up to dated. Overall it is very good for the education seeker.

NIT Placements:

Almost 90% students get placed from this institute. An annual package of INR 7 Lacs was offered as the highest salary in this institute. The average salary offered here was INR 3 Lacs. The major recruiters are TCS, Infosys, Capgemini, IBM, ITC Infotech etc.

NIT Scholarships:

  • NIT grants Merit - Cum - Means Minority Scholarships are offered here.
  • AICTE awards merit-based Pragati Scholarship offered to the 1st year female students.
  • Saksham Scholarship offered for the specially abled students.

Thank You.

Dr. BC Roy Engineering college and Narula Institute of Technology both are leading private engineering colleges of West Bengal. In terms of academics, both are almost same. But when comes to placement, Narula Institute of Technology is a level higher compared to Dr. BC Roy Engineering college. In Narula, the number of students getting placed is more. However you haven't mentioned the branch you are enquiring about. But in general, Narula has comparatively better placement than BC Roy. Several companies such as Wipro, TCS, Zensar, Genpact, Hexaware, Sasken, Poornam Technologies, Indus Net etc recruit from NIT with an average package of 3 to 3.5 lpa. BYJU'S offered 10 lpa and one studnet was selected from Narula.

Hello there!

I am currently an engineering student and over the last few years have been a part of fests organized by these institutions. However, how good a college is entirely depends upon one's opinions and the term "good" is itself a relative term. So here are my views:

If you want to get a good career after completion of you UG degree in CSE or IT, it is very important for you to get into certain prestigious institutions around town. Why? Because they provide good placement offers and the teaching faculty provide their best support to the students.

  1. Talking of Narula, it is under the JIS group of institutions and even if JIS was ranked the best 12 years ago, its quality has deteriorated over time. Now what remains is the immense discipline, and the good faculties who haven't yet retired. The campus infrastructure is adequate but in my opinion, what comes down to the best at the end of the day is the teaching itself.
  2. BC Roy Engineering college has good faculty that will support you through the entire length of you 4 year Undergrad degree. The infrastructure is quite good and recruiters such as genpact, capegimini, etc provide placements every year.
  3. Techno India college provides adequate study materials and the teaching faculty of CSE is quite phenomenal, I'm told. It provides decent placements too.

If you have a pretty good rank, you can apply for other colleges in the subsequent levels of your counselling. But if you want to get into any of the aforementioned ones, according to me, go for Techo India International, Newtown.

Hope it helps.

Feel free to ask for other queries.

Hey Shuva

In BC Roy Engineering College 30% of the studentsget placed but most of them are from  IT sector. The highest salary offered is 3.30 LPA from companies like TCS, Infosys, Tech Mahindra, etc. The faculty here is pretty good and the infrastructure is good too.

In NIT you will get a higher placement of around Rs4.5 lpa with companies like TCS, Wipro, Accenture, AIS Glass and Pinnacle who visit the campus. The highest salary offered is 10 lakh pa and more or less 70% of the students get placed. The faculty and infrastructure are great.

The fees of BC Roy is lesser than NIT but in terms of placement NIT is better.
I hope you will make the best choice by doing a thorough research on both the colleges. All the best!
