To be eligible for admission in the B. F. Tech, the criteria is as follows:
1. You should not be more than 23 years of age, for general candidates, this can be relaxed upto 5 years for SC/ST/PwD candidates.
2. You must successfully complete 10+2 years of education from any recognised board, having studies Maths, Physics and Chemistry as a subject combination or should have completed a 3- or 4-years diploma in any branch of Engineering recognised by AICTE or a State Board.

NIFT Bhubaneshwar doesn't provide campus selection. There are some other NIFTs who provide campus selection after bftech course. These institutes are Delhi, Hyderabad, Bangalore, Mumbai, Chennai, Gandhinagar , kolkata.

There is no difference in the fees fro reservation category. Its the same for all. However, one can get scholarship on the basis of their financial status. One has to fill the form and meet the requirements for getting scholarship. However, there is a subsidy policy- “SARTHAK” NIFT FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE SCHEME for providing financial assistance to meritorious needy and deserving students belonging to the economically weaker sections. The college infrastructure is great. The library is really good and has air conditioning. the college doesnt have sports centre or hostel. the canteen served food is fine. but there is not much cleanliness in the canteen. overall the college is fine except some issues.
