An applicant desiring Polytechnic Education and Training Institute admission to this programme must have completed his/her 10th standard with a core subject in mathematics and science. Selection can be by aggregation of 10th standard marks with any institute entrance test or interview performance.
• Diploma in Electrical Engineering: In addition, there are 30 seats allocated for this three-year diploma programme. Eligibility criteria include passing a 10th standard and excelling in mathematics and science. The Polytechnic Education and Training Institute admission process may include an entrance test or an interview conducted by the institute to determine suitability for electrical engineering.
• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering: It is also a three-year programme with an intake of 30 students. Candidates who have passed their 10th standard with strong foundations in mathematics and science are entitled to apply. The selection may be based on the combination of 10th standard marks and performance in any entrance test or interview.
• Diploma in Computer Science and Engineering: There are 60 admission openings for this diploma programme. Like other diploma courses, eligibility and admission criteria under this diploma are likely the same but with an emphasis on mathematics and science in the 10th standard. The institute may conduct its own selection process to identify suitable candidates.
• Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology: Student intake for this programme is 60. It does not specify clear eligibility criteria; however, it may be inferred that those with a strong foundation in science subjects at the 10th standard level would be preferred. To analyse medical laboratory technology aptitude, entrance tests or interviews may be part of the admission process.
