PPG College of Pharmacy, Coimbatore Admission Process

PPG College of Pharmacy is situated in Coimbatore, providing pharmaceutical education. Admission procedures for qualified candidates who wish to join the pharmacy programs of the college are very structured and duly considered by the various approving authorities. It is also duly approved by AICTE and PCI, thus having a check for the standardization of pharmacy education.

PPG College of Pharmacy accepts the admission of any eligible students. Admission criteria could include such things as the performance of students in their last relevant subjects, possibly an entrance examination or an interview by the college, thus allowing the institution to assess candidates via academic merit and aptitude for pharmaceutical studies.

Application Process

  1. Application Form: Interested candidates can buy the college forms for their admission applications or simply walk onto the campus.

  3. Required Documents: The documentation required must be properly prepared and attached. The required documents would include:

    • Marksheets of 10th and 12th

    • Transfer Certificate

    • Character Certificate

    • Recent passport-size photographs

    • Any other document(s) requested by the college

  4. Submitting the application: Completely fill the application form and submit it either online or personally to the college.

  5. Filing the application fee as determined by the college is also mandatory. The means of payment and amount will be mentioned in the instructions to fill up the application.

  6. Entrance test/interview: Appear for an entrance test/interview conducted by the college if applicable for selection.

  7. The merit list/counseling: The college would prepare a merit list on the basis of candidates' performance in the qualifying examination, entrance test (if it has been held), and/or interview. The shortlisted candidates can be called for counseling.

  8. Admit: The admitted candidates will confirm their admission and in the process pay their fees and produce attested photocopies of all necessary documents for verification.

  9. Orientation and classes: There shall be an orientation program and the classes will commence according to the academic calendar of the college.

Degree-wise Admission Process

B. Pharma:
PPG College of Pharmacy awards 60 total seats for the Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharma) program. The duration of study is four years that will give the pharmacy curriculum the in-depth knowledge and skills. Admission into B.Pharma studies takes into consideration a candidate's performance at the 10+2 or equivalent examination in terms of marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology/Mathematics.

D. Pharma:
Diploma in Pharmacy (D.Pharma) is offered by the college. The program is for two years and admits 60 seats. This would be such a program that provides practical knowledge in a shorter duration to those who have the desire for it. Admission for D.Pharma relies on the examination outcomes of the candidate in regard to their 10+2 emphasis on the science stream.

The selection process for both programs may also include entrance tests or interviews conducted by the college in order to assess the aptitude and preparedness of the candidates for pharmaceutical studies.
