Admission is based on marks of the qualifying examination (10+2). Whereas various BA courses have differing intake capacities, the highest is among the Bengali Honours, with 127 seats, followed closely by English Honours with 107.

B.Sc (Bachelor of Science): In relation to science aspirants, it offers B.Sc Honours in Geography, Zoology, Mathematics, Nutrition, Chemistry, and Physics. Admission to these courses is based on 10+2 marks, emphasizing relevant science subjects. The distribution of seats ranges from Zoology Honours for 58 students to Physics Honours for 11 students.

Both BA and the B.Sc programs have general (non-Honours) options for students opting for a wider range.
