Dear Candidate,

It's is very difficult to compare two different streams of engineering, but SPCE is the most reputed college amongst DJ & SPIT. The name of that College itself speaks for itself. But since you are worried between the courses, I'd suggest you to go through the modules you will be learning in both the streams & then make a decision. Try contacting alumnus from both the colleges(with your preferred stream). Ask people around you, if this is difficult for you to take a proper decision. Talk with people around the pros & cons of the courses. After all, it's you who will be pursuing the course. Make a proper decision after studying all the parameters. I'd personally go with SPCE & you can anyhow apply for CSE jobs if you are good with Computer skills after your graduation.

Thanks. Hope it helped.

Thanks.

If you are looking for getting admission into Sardar Patel College of Engineering, your rank of ews should be anything but under 10000 to get a branch of your choice.

Anything beyond that shall mean more difficulty in getting hold of a seat and shall be hopeless in the end.

Therefore, you have good rank , you need to worry.

Any rank beyond 15000 or 20000 you may land with the choice of Electronics engineering which again might conflict with your area of interest.

So, I would suggest you to keep looking for alternative as well.

Hello,

In SPIT, the chance of changing the branch from one to another is difficult. It can only be done if someone has left the seat vacant due to his or her failure in some subject. For more information on SPIT,  you can refer to the link given below :

Hello aspirant!  Let me to inform you that according to the previous years cut off rank for sardar Patel college of engineering Mumbai, you can get mechanical branch if 737 is your rank in nomadic tribe 2 category. You can also get civil and electrical engineering with this rank of you have your category certificate right.

Hi,

It doesn't matter whether your state Merit is considered or your category rank is considered for admissions, as in both cases the students who will be behind your rank in one of the ranking types will always be behind you in any of the rankings given that your competition is only with the candidates of your category.

For that matter, if you look for the cutoffs, they are provided with the state general merit no. for every category.

All the Best!!

Best college for Electrical Engineering Students

Verified Review

College Infrastructure

The infrastructure of SPCE is average as this college is very old. But all needful facilities are available. Purified cold drinking water is available on every floor of the building. The building is of 2 floors. Quadrangle provided in the middle of the building. Washroom facilities are available on every floor. The environment of the college is best as SPCE is on Bhavan's campus. There are 3 to 4 other colleges also there. Space has its hostel whose seat filling is done based on merit.

Transportation facility is Very Good

College Infrastructure

Now the infrastructure is well-updated; each Wi-Fi has good speed, and every single room is cleaned regularly. The area is always kept clean for a healthy environment. As for the hostel, its food tastes good, and the labs are also updated with proper stuff.

Good Guidance from faculty

College Infrastructure

Hostel facilities are good enough and medical facilities are also there. Every year college organises a competition. In college, a huge playground is also present. Wi-Fi in college has good strength, which means phones always have a range on campus no matter where you are.
