SMIT has all the necessary infrastructures and facilities required for a student. Labs, library, hostel and apartment for faculties inside the campus, wifi is available, medical room , canteens , marena for sports is available where volleyball court to swimming pool and gym everything is available. Overall the campus is best.

I completed my m.sc in mathematics last year in 2021 and the education quality is outstanding. Faculty of mathematics department are amazing and very friendly to the students. Teachers not only teach us within the syllabus but also give us moral support. There is a teacher guardian for every single student who takes care of their attendance and their academic perfomances.

The quality of placements in SMIT is amazing. Companies like microsoft, wipro, byju's and lot more hire students for placements. The highest package was 900000 per annum and an average salary was 600000 per annum.

I had opted for m.sc in mathematics and my course was for 2 years. So 200000 costed me for my course. The education quality is definitely worth the price. Since the campus is just perfect for every student. Campus is located near the highway so transportation is also very easy.

Students can engage themselves in sports. There is a volleyball court, a gym, a swimming pool etc. Lots of tech events and cultural programs are held and so students can engage themselves in these events afar from academic events.

The college was very good in each and every way as i chose this course because i wanted to pursue bachelors. Also, the overall placement of CSE/IT is the best in SMIT. The campus location is awesome with a very peaceful ecosystem surround by flora and fauna. Proper hygiene was maintained inside the campus and the classrooms and the WIFI facility was top notch overall.

I was studying Bachelors in Computer Science and IT here. The quality of teaching was very good as the college is known for its CSE branch and the teachers are also very experienced and well educated. Although there is a bit lack of knowledge and skill among the female teachers but that's almost negligiable.

The quality of placement at our college is also very top notch and up to the mark especially in the computer sector. The highest salary at which the students were placed was 20 lakhs per annum offered by Microsoft and then there was Providence which offered 12-13 lakhs per annum.

The overall cost of my BTECH course was almost around 15-17 lakhs inclusive of the room, hostel rent, WIFI and everything. Yes it was definitely worth each and every penny.

My college campus was amazing with top class gym and internet facilities throughout the campus. Although due to the rainy and mountainous terrain there have been a few disruptions in the connectivity with the college. But despite that the student, teachers and the staff everyone was great.

The college is equipped with state-of-art facilities that caters need of everyone living inside the campus irrespective of their age group.. The living space gets clean every day, and the campus is equipped with high tech facilities providing all sorts of facilities and modern infrastructure to the students

I did my graduation in Electronics and Communication Engineering. This field has some of the best faculty, Almost everyone Faculty is PhD holder and are knowledgeable enough to impart great knowledge to the students. At the same time, they are helpful, not only in Academics but on personal level.

The placements were really good and for my batch there was 100 percent placements. Companies like Microsoft and Dell came for placement. Though I opted for Off-campus placements. The highest package was 8 LPA.

The course costed 2 lakh per annum. And it was totally worth it. The kind of education and environment we were exposed has made us into a matured and successful human as of today.

Amazing campus life

It was worth studying in SMIT in all aspects.

The college has a vast infrastructure with great features. There are multiple divisions based on the course which has it's own building. There are multiple laboratories for different subject. The environment is clean and pleasant.

Currently studying (2022) CSE from SMIT with expected completetion in 2024. The professors are decent with very good subject knowledge and multiple years of work experience. The curriculum is very up-to-date which gives a feeling of inclusivity.

The placements are also supposed to be appreatiated considering the fact that a lot of students get jobs every year from the campus. Having said that, there are strict criterias for a students to be eligible for a placement from the campus. So naturally the students getting placements are some of the most hardworking and brilliant minds from the institute.

The course CSE will cost about 3,05,000 rupees per year excluding the hostel and mess fees. Although the cost seems to be on the higher side, the real evaluation will be done after the graduation when the student is ready for working in a company.

The campus life is good in general. Having said that, the student might feel a little disconnected due to the location as for some of the students, who are coming from far distances, it is really costly and time consuming to take a trip back home during the semester break.

The internet and wifi facility could have been better considering the fact that the campus is not exactly situated near a major city and so the network reception is not very strong.

The college infrastructure is Excellent , All the students are provided twin sharing well furnished rooms with attached bathrooms. Their is no problem for electricity and water supply , students wpnt be having any problem in hostel and the institute has excellent library facilities serving to diverse needs of the students

The institution provide a proper course curriculum for all the courses and the teacher follow the curriculum properly , the curriculum cover all the topic regarding the field and provide us a wide knowledge of what we are studying.

Even during the pandemic and online class situation the placement done were very good and many companies such as Microsoft , Dell etc came for the on campus placement , alot of companies came for the on campus placement and alot of students from almost all the branches got placed with good package

The college is excellent and it is definitely worth it

The college has all the infrastructure and amenities one could desire. The whole college has WiFi, including the hostels and classrooms. Classrooms are huge, have projectors for teaching, and are large enough for a batch of 60 students. Hostels have rooms which you can share with another student or pay extra to live alone and are regularly cleaned. Computer Science department has multiple labs, each with ~80 computers. The library is huge and a perfect place for preparing for exams.

I studied computer science and engineering. The computer science department has the best professor you could get in this country. They are knowledgable, well versed in their subjects and will always answer your questions. The curriculum is regularly update to match with the latest trend in the industry. For example, Python classes were introduced a couple of years back for my juniors due to its increased demand caused by AI and machine learning.

The placements for CSE department was really good with companies like Microsoft, Dell, Amazon doing regular rounds of hiring. In my batch, 117% of the CSE students were placed (with some of them getting multiple offers. I was also one of them). The average salary offered in 2019 was 5 LPA approx.

Although you may feel like the college is a tad bit on expensive side, the overall ROI you'll find to be well-balanced. You will be getting a degree from one of the best private Institutions of the country.

If you like greenery and mountains, hiking, lakes, snow, you'll love this place. The campus is in a location which is close to many touristy places like Darjeeling, Gangtok, Namchi, Tsmogo Lake, Temi tea garden, etc. The campus itself is clean, well maintained and full of greenery. As the hostels are also inside the campus boundary, you'll always find students roaming around the campus with books in their hands studying, preparing for some kind of event or overall just talking to friends.

Overall a great college and worth considering.

Clean and nice environment. Healthy and educative ambience. Lush greenery and river view beside the college. Great infrastructure, with all the amenities and technology to learn and grow together within campus.

Highly educated academic staffs. Well qualified teachers, many of them with a Doctorate degree. Supportive and considerate Teacher Guardians as well as Hostel Wardens. Positive and friendly environment.

Nice and cooperative Training and Placement team. Have grown their placement team to capture and access more placement opportunities. Big companies like Amazon, Wells Fargo also visit this campus for hiring.

Yes....everything needed...lactating from libraries....labs....proper hostels.....canteens....gym...indoor playground.....yoga room.....indoor swimming pool....and many more...!! Even the mess food is very delightful and served in variations !!

M persuading BTech (CSE) ....n I believe though the session is online but the faculties are amazing...also we are not facing difficulties in labs. There's a proper platform where our marks...attendance and also assignments are maintained..and we have access to it...and it's always updated !!

Placement is overall good...n since I'm a cse a student...so looking into that...cse Placement is amazing !! Last year in pandemic the highest package was of 24lpa ..!! N accommodating such package in pandemic is commendable!

For me it was 305000/- without scholarship...but for those scoring good may get scholarship as well !!

Though m not in campus...but I've seen the campus...and I believe it's just amazing...also the location of the college is in such a beautiful place...everyone loves that !!

SMIT is having great infrastructure in terms of classrooms, laboratories, sport centres and other amenities. 24 hours WiFi connection is available for students. Toilets are specially very clean and they maintain hygiene everywhere.

I did my M Tech from ECE department, SMIT. I found all faculty members very helpful and cooperative. After finishing my M Tech, I have preferred to go for higher studies and started my PhD. The hands on experienced that I got was really very rich. There was a DRDO sponsored Laboratory. I was very fortunate to work for some RADAR projects.

The placement status of SMIT is outstanding. Many of us got offer from different companies. T&P cell plays very important role for conducting campus interviews. The average package is around 4 lacs per annum. Some company like Microsoft even offered 25 Lacs per annum. DELL, WIPRO, CAPGEMINI, CTS, INFOSYS are regular visitors for campus placement.

It cost around 3 lacs for course fee and 2.3 lacs for hostels. But now they started offering scholarship for few students.

This is the best part at SMIT. I enjoyed every bit of my life at SMIT. It is completely safe for both boys and girls.

I miss my graduation days at SMIT.

There is Atal Incubation Center to nourish young startup ideas. There is a large library. The college has swimming pool, gymnasium , cafes, lawn, football field, basketball fields, cricket ground , etc.

EEE Department teachers are the best in the country. They help with different projects, research works and competitive examination preparations. There is a unique scheme of Teacher Guardian in this college.

Placements offered are very good and almost 95% of the interested candidates are placed. The salary offered ranges between 3lakhs per annum to 12 lakhs per annum. Most students bags more than one offer.
