Staying at hostel is not mandatory and there are pgs availible outside the campus. Mess food is not very good. All facilities that SMIT provides are great in the sectors of sports and recreation. New infrastructure are getting added every passing year.

I did mine project under Sandip Sir both major and minor he was very good and helpful. All teachers in EEE department are characterized by friendly behavior and ready to help attitude. Only the Digital Signal Processing class needs improvement.

Placements are improving every year and EEE department`s placements are generally over 92%. Internships are provided in reputed firms . SMIT has a rich alumni network. Maximum package ranges between 12LPA to 15LPA.

The section of hostels where master degree students stays are better than the other. The rooms are well furnished. There are cafes which have come up inside the campus and lawns and fountain have been built recently.

Mtech at SMIT is comparatively easier than Btech however the Mtech sessions are flooded with projects and research topics. The projects of Civil department are little adventerous and memorable compared to other. We go to different hilly regions and do camping at night and project in the morning sessions.

In Sikkim there are various projects and development works which are going on be it the Teesta Project or Railway projects or Air port or Hydro Electric power plants. And demand of civil and electrical engineers is high in these sectors. Many of SMIT students gets placed over here.

Hostels are good and mess food quality can be improved. Plenty facility of sports. Multiple fields are there. Civil and Mechanical Engineering block is new and all the classrooms are provided with ac.

Being a core subject there are various high power labs. Lab is imporatant part of the course and teachers ensure that the student have a good understanding of both theoritical as well as practical concepts

Placement in Civil Engineering department is not as great as the CSE Department however its improving. There are also few core companies which provides high package and comes to recruit civil engineering students exclusively.

The Labs in of EEE Department are well maintained. Unlike electronics , electrical engineering deals with high voltage and currents. Our departments provides safety kit and dress for each one of us and also the floors are padded with insulator materials so as to ensure safety.

EEE deparment is characterised by caring teachers. Even amidst the present scenario of lockdown teachers consulted the students to know their views while designing the online course. They ensured that the online lecture sessions are interesting and not monotonous.

As far as EEE department is concerned, placement wise it is improving. The package offered are increasing every year and the percentage of student placed are also increasing. Students gets placed in both core as well as it companies.

As far as infrastructure is concerned, our college has everything that a student could wish for. There is gym, food courts, sports field, etc. There are also cafes present inside the campus. The campus is neat and clean.

In CSE department we are taught all those subject which are not only essential for the course but also for the corporate world. In our department the coding languages are taught right from the base till the advanced level.

In SMIT, amongst all the departments, CSE department has the best placement records. The highest package received is around 22 Lakhs and the median is around 5.5Lakhs. Microsoft, Amazon, IBM are few of the reputed companies among a long list of companies which comes for placement.

Atal Incubation Center is present in the campus to nourish young enterpreneurship ideas. This is aimed to provide the students a base where they can implement their start up ideas and contribute to the development of the society.

Apart from engineering subject we are taught Industrial Management, Java, Python, Data Structures, C, C++. All these subjects may not be central to the field of electrical engineering but is essential to diversify the career options.

Placement process is a bit tough for electrical students as majority companies which comes for placements are IT based. SO there are programming questions which we find difficult to tackle during the placements.

There is a large library in the campus which has a record number of books. It is one of the largest in the zone. The library has a sitting capacity of about 500 students. It concists books required by different departments and can be issued when required.

Presently mine 6th semister got completed. The quality of teaching is very good. A subject called LTEEE got added to the curriculum. In this subjects we are taught about latest trends in the industry.

Quality of placements in the college is good. We are provided pre placement training to crack the interviews. Different reputed institutes like TIME etc comes to provide us pre placement trainings. This Pre placement training has become a mandate to appear in placement process.

EEE department has a self library where students can get access to previous projects and research paper done by seniors. Different books related to the department are present here and students can issue them for reading purpose

EEE department teachers are very good and caring. In case of any doubt you can call them even the night before exam and they will be ready to help. Unlike other departments which has large number of students EEE department has small number of students and therefor students gets personal attention from teacher on a one to one basis.

Placements in this department is improving from year to year. Earlier the highest package offered to students of this department was arould 6LPA maximum compared to 13LPA as per the latest placement reports.

EEE department labs were very good. They had all the necessary eqipments to give the students a practical exposure. Machines and instruments were maintained nicely. Necessary precautions with respect to electrical machines were availible.

Studing electrical engineering was a dream since childhood. SMIT has the best pool of faculties in EEE department who are highly committed and dedicated to the welfare of the students. Any topic is repeated numerous number of times until the students are clear about it.

From EEE department 92% students were placed. Highest salary offered was around 11LPA and the lowest salary was around 3LPA. LTE, JLL, Sunrator, Bosch, TCS, Infosys were a few companies from a large pool of companies who offered placement.

Excellent infrastructure. hostel very decent, gymnasium, food court, swimming pool, multi facility sports complex present. mess food good. dispensary is present and ambulance facility is availible. one of the best college

There are seminars, industrial trainings , projects, research conferences, bootcamps and workshops. Course curriculim is changed every year and subjects are added and substracted depending on industry trends.

99% of interested candidates placed in different companies with highest package being around 15LPA and median being around 8LPA. Internship is provided in both private and public sector. Yes it was easy.
