The campus infrastructure is average. Classrooms are good and spacious. Labs have many systems to accommodate any number of students but some of them do not have the Wi-Fi facility. The library is very good and spacious with many books. We can also borrow books for 15 days. Timings are from 8:30 AM to 8:30 PM Monday to Saturday
Professors are average but some are very well-trained. The teaching quality is average and is not very helpful. The course curriculum followed is kind of outdated, traditional, and not helpful. Semester exams are not difficult and we can easily score well. We have 3 internal assessments and then the end-semester exams. The pass percentage is close to 95% for the autonomous batch
Placements percentage is close to average and about 70% of students placed each year. The highest package is 23 LPA which is offered in 2021 and that too off-campus. The average package is 4 LPA. Some companies have a bond. Not many good companies visit here and most service-based companies visit the college for placements
The hostels here are very clean and well maintained; the food here is tasty as well as very healthy; the sanitary facilities are also well maintained; and the wardens here are well disciplined and friendly. There are also no issues with any of the things in this hostel .
The faculty here are well educated and almost all are double degree holders and Ph.D. holders. They have been working here for almost 15 to 20 years and are well versed, experienced and good teachers. Coming to exams, we have to give our best from our side to achieve our goals .
Our college provides the best placement opportunities for students, and they are more relevant and almost all are Salem companies. We also get job opportunities from core companies, especially our branch, which has fewer opportunities in companies compared to others.
Wi-Fi facility is good. The college has good classrooms, great benches, and corridors. Each floor is installed with CCTV cameras. Fully protective and great blocks. Excellent training centers. Beautiful and well-equipped labs. Great classrooms with an interactive board.
Teachers are excellent. They are interactive, qualified, and good with subject knowledge. We have supportive teachers. They are supportive of projects and co-curricular activities. We have supportive trainers. Good for fresher students who have just joined college, and great for them.
Approximately 85% of students get placed at my college. The highest package offered is 14LPA, the lowest is 3.5 LPA, and the average package ranges from 4.5 to 5.5 LPA. Companies like Infosys, Accenture, and Cognizant recruit here. Everything is excellent when it comes to jobs in our college. Training from the first year itself.
The college has decent infrastructure with good classrooms, labs, and library facilities. Wi-Fi is available but the speed can be consistent. Labs are well-equipped for practical sessions. The hostel facilities are average with basic amenities. The messy food is manageable but not great in taste or variety. Sports facilities like basketball and cricket grounds are available, and the gym is also accessible to students. Medical support is available on campus, and the overall campus is clean and green.
Most of the faculty members at SJB Institute of Technology are helpful and supportive and have decent subject knowledge. However, the teaching style varies from teacher to teacher. Some are very interactive, while others just follow slides
About 60-70% of students from our batch got placed through campus placements. The highest package offered is around 10 LPA, the lowest is about 2.5 LPA, and the average package is around 3.5 to 4 LPA. Some of the top recruiting companies included TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Capgemini, Cognizant, Teach Mahindra, and a few startups as well. Around 30-40% of students got internships, mostly in final year.
Our college has great infrastructure with smart classrooms, high-speed Wi-Fi, well-equipped labs, and a resourceful library. Hostels are clean and have good facilities. Mess food is average, but the canteen serves tasty snacks. Medical aid is available on campus. Sports facilities include cricket, football, basketball, and indoor games too.
Our college has a very positive and supportive environment. All the faculty members are really friendly. If we have a doubt or we just need some guidance, they are always ready to help us. They constantly motivate us to do better in life. The college also has a dedicated training and placement center where we get regular workshops, mock interviews, aptitude practice, and soft skills sessions.
I am from the 2021-25 CSE batch. Around 85% of students got placed. The highest package is 15 LPA, and the lowest package is 3.5 LPA. The average package is 5.5 LPA. Top recruiting companies for our course include Infosys, TCS, Accenture, and EY. About 65% of students got internships in companies like IBM, Wipro, and startups. Roles offered are SDE, QA, analyst, etc.
The infrastructure for our course is excellent. Classrooms are spacious and equipped with smart TVs and high-speed Wi-Fi. Labs are well-maintained with modern equipment, and the library offers a wide range of books and digital resources. The department also provides access to coding labs and seminar halls for presentations and workshops
Faculty are very good, they support in all ways, and this autonomous college, so we get exams from our college, but they only prepare the questions. They are teaching in an exemplary way, and they give you practical knowledge. The syllabus is good, it helps us to get placements.
I am a part of the information science and engineering programme, batch of 2027. The course focuses on almost all placements. They have given a weekly one-class for placement purposes in HRD classrooms from the 1st year, they train us for placements and more about academics, and they also conduct mock interviews from the 5th semester itself. Placements are good, we can crack it.
Our department has good Wi-Fi, modern labs, smart classrooms, and a well-stocked library. Hostels are decent with clean rooms. Mess food is good. Medical facilities are available too. Sports facilities are good and active. It also includes a gym at an affordable price
Teachers are helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. Teaching quality is good, with practical exposure and smart boards. The course curriculum is mostly relevant and helps in building industry-ready skills. Semester exams are moderately difficult, with a 95% pass rate.
I am from the 2025 batch of B.E. in Computer Science and Engineering at SJBIT. Overall, my experience at the college is quite good, with decent academic support and placement opportunities. Around 80% of students from our course got placed. The highest package offered is 12 LPA, and the average package offered is 4 LPA.
The infrastructure is kind of average but the labs are really good and have high-level systems along with quite a large space for many students. The Wi-Fi speed in the labs is quite good. The library is quite spacious with all possible books and journals available. Books can be borrowed for 14 days and the late fine is Rs. 1 per day. The hostel infrastructure is above average. Rooms are quite spacious with 2 and 3-sharing options. They provide a bed, chair, table, and a spacious wardrobe
Some of the professors are quite well-trained but some are old fashioned and not that knowledgeable. The curriculum followed is quite old-fashioned and very little exposure to newer technology trends. Semester exams are quite easy. The pass percentage is around 95% or above. Studying a week before exams is enough and the paper is not that difficult.
The placement percentage is close to 60 - 70 %. The highest package this year was 12 LPA and the lowest was 3.25 LPA with the average package ranging between 4.0 - 5.5 LPA. Few product-based companies and more services visit here. Internship opportunities are rare and ordinary and that too starts after the 6th sem. The roles offered are also not very promising and they hire for smaller roles.
The facilities and infrastructure available for our course or department were quickly accessible and available all the time. The canteen food was well maintained and hygienic. I have no idea about games or sports because we were not taken out to play, and I have no idea about the hostel as I wasn’t a hostel student.
Teaching used to be dependent on the teachers, and the quality was good itself. Extracurricular activities often used to take place, but there were no industrial visits for our batch. Exams were quite easy and could be passed if studied one day before the exam.
There were sixty students in our class, and among them, none got placed because we didn’t receive any placement opportunities due to corona. But yes, the previous batches and current batch students are getting placed, and that too in fewer numbers.
All the infrastructure is amazing, and greenery is present all over the campus. There are small issues in the bathrooms, like no water sometimes, and that's the only thing I’ve faced. As my friends say, the Wi-Fi in the hostel is not good, with no network for any SIMs. However, the hostel food is awesome, and they even provide snacks daily.
The teachers at SJBIT Kengeri, Bangalore, are extraordinary. Almost all the faculty members have a lot of experience in teaching, and most of them have received their doctorates. They also arrange parent-teacher meetings after every internal exam. It’s great to be in this college.
In my college, more than 90% were placed two years ago, before 2024, but recently, due to the downfall of the software industry, it has decreased to 65%. However, by the time I complete my engineering and all eight semesters, I may see an amazing boom in the software industry.
SJBI T is usually good than AMC engineering College in case of study of engineering and particularly CSE. It provides more solid placements, quality, faculty, and improve academic support. AMC is okay with no consistency in placements and industry exposure. SABIT will offer a better option in growth of the career in the long run.
I hope this information well helpful for you.
Hello!
So SJBIT is better than AMC because it has good good placement record and companies like infosys, TCS, WIPRO and many more come very year. The average package of this college is 4 lakhs and highest goes upto 10 lakhs +. It has good infrastructure, better campus life, maintained labs, experienced faculty and good crowd.
While AMC also has placements but it's average package is around 2.5-3.5 lakhs. Its infrastructure is also good and well maintained but it less industry exposure.
Hello,
SJBIT usually has an edge over GAT, especially if you're aiming for internships, coding competitions, and core IT roles. So if your priority is placements and a stronger professional ecosystem, SJBIT is the better choice. SJBIT will give you a better exposure. And even if you compare the placement packages, SJBIT will seem like a better choice.
Hope this helps. All the best!
