SGTB is ranked 29th in the college category in the NIRF ranking 2025.
Some AC's are not working otherwise everything is perfect. There are proper working smart boards. Proper lights. A very nice reading room and a library. Facilities like gym , Nescafe etc. One of the things I appreciate most about my college is its infrastructure. The campus is well-planned and creates an environment that feels both academic and welcoming. The classrooms are spacious, equipped with projectors and audio systems that make learning smoother. Even small things like comfortable seating and proper ventilation show that the college has invested in creating a student-friendly space.
Every teacher is very humble and friendly. As a student, I feel the academics in my college are one of its strongest aspects. The curriculum is designed to balance theory and practical knowledge, which helps us not just understand concepts but also apply them in real life. Professors are genuinely supportive and approachable—they don’t just deliver lectures but actively encourage questions, discussions, and critical thinking. This interactive style of teaching makes classes engaging and far less monotonous. Assignments, projects, and group presentations may sometimes feel challenging, but in the long run, they push us to explore beyond textbooks.
My college provides very good placements and a lot of opportunities to the students. The college has strong connections with reputed companies across different sectors, and every placement season brings a wide range of opportunities. From multinational corporations to promising start-ups, the variety allows students to choose roles that match their interests and career goals. Many of my seniors have been placed in well-known organizations with competitive packages, and their success stories motivate us to aim higher.
I truly say that yes my college is value for money. It is worth every penny. When I look at the facilities, academics, and overall experience it provides, the fees feel justified. The infrastructure itself is impressive—well-equipped classrooms, a modern library, computer labs, and sports facilities that create a balanced environment for learning as well as personal growth. For students staying in hostels, the living spaces are well-maintained and safe, which adds to the sense of comfort.
I love the campus life my college offers. I really like going college. What I love most is the balance between academics and extracurriculars. After a long day of classes, there are always activities like cultural events, debates, workshops, or sports matches that keep the atmosphere lively. Festivals and annual fests are especially exciting because the entire campus comes together to organize, participate, and celebrate. These events not only give us a break from routine but also help us build teamwork and leadership skills.
As a student, I feel proud to be a part of my college because it has given me so much more than just an academics. The overall experience here has been enriching, supportive, and full of opportunities. Academically, the college maintains high standards. The professors are knowledgeable and approachable, always encouraging us to think critically and go beyond the textbooks. The curriculum balances theory with practical exposure through projects, seminars, and workshops which makes it more nice.
College has a poor Infrastructure. The classrooms are too old but there is some kind of construction going on so hoping that they will get better. There are ACs in many classrooms which is a plus point.
College is good in terms of academics. The professors teach really well. There are regular tests which enhance the learning skills of students. Separate tutorial classes are also held to clear doubtsm
As a fresher, I do not have much direct knowledge or experience regarding placements at this stage, so I cannot comment in detail on how the process works or how successful it has been for students so far. However, from what I have observed and heard from seniors, the college seems to have an active placement cell that takes initiatives to guide students and bring in opportunities
This college has one of the most highest fees in DU as compared to other colleges. Such high fees is not justifiable. The college needs to work on its Infrastructure to give the feeling to students that their money spent was worth it.
Campus is too small so do not expect much here. It has a library, canteen and a girls' common room which are some of the good things. For sports players, there is a huge ground and even a basketball court.
the college infra is good, sgtb khalsa has big classrooms and all classrooms are clean some classrooms have ac also. there are labs as well like chemistry lab physics lab and have all facilities. we have wifi connection too.
academic wise the college is good because it’s situated in north campus and the teachers are well educated and trained. the quality of teaching is great they have exams as well for checking students level.
placements wise what i’ve heard is that the placement cell socities helps students to get placed in good campaniles those who have good portfolios. the college is supportive when you need them. and i did bbe so the placement are good for that.
my course costs around 40-45k for a year and i think that’s fine and cheap if we compare to private college. sgtb Khalsa has good reputation as well and i feel each penny is worth it. all courses fee starts from 15k till mac 40-45k which is good.
the campus life is great the best features are the active socities where students make friends. the crowd is good as well. teachers are genuinely supportive and as well as seniors who help 1st years to figure out the college.
My experience is great till now.
The college infrastructure is fairly decent. Some classrooms are equipped with AC while others are not. Classrooms are spacious and clean, but the tables and seats could be better. The college is well maintained, with a decent canteen and a large ground for sports and activities. Ongoing improvements are being made for better facilities and infrastructure.
The Economics department of college is great, with supportive and helpful faculty. Academically, the college performs well, and there is also active participation in societies, sports and extracurricular activities, which makes the overall learning environment quite enriching.
Placements in the college are decent. Reputed companies like KPMG and EY visit the campus to recruit students. Consistently good grades across all semesters and right set of skills and confidence improve the chances of on campus placements.
The fee structure is affordable as compared to many other colleges, making it feasible for students. Considering the quality of academics, active societies, good exposure and opportunities in sports and extracurriculars, the college definitely offers value for money.
Campus life at Khalsa is lively and enjoyable. Many societies are active through which students can make friends not only in college but in entire DU. Nescafe and the famous 'Jannat area' are popular hangout spots. The students are friendly, and the overall vibe is welcoming and positive.
Well facilities, copretive staff, sports fasilities, water cooler are availabel, Lack of infrastructure and library time periode is less compare than other college Also the sports ground is very spacious
I study BA Honours here and the quality of teaching is excellent, there is more on sports education and teachers are very respectful curriculum is updated and includes all listen development in field no my study don't make me job ready here
There is no enough scope in this degree for placement all though for other degrees the placement is strong but for BA honours there is no scope of good placement other than in teaching or literature market
its great good classes, ac are also there. i would just say the infra can be modern as well . benches are broken and acs also dontwork but thats fine …. Library is awesome .. amazi canteen and nescafe.
great teacher great faculty well qualified teacher and staff …. yes curriculum is updated and included recent development…. i am studying ba programme amazing quality of teaching…. teachers help a lot during exam
i don’t have much knowledge about their quality of placement but as far as i know its good …… a lot of students we placed i dont know the highest salary package offered but it was good overall. companies like kpmg, deloite takes students for jobs
there is 100% value for money because the fee is feasible and the anyone can afford. if we compare private college and then du then ofcourse du is better. and du provides good education as well so its renowned
the campus life is great. every year there is a fest and lots of societies are active almost all most famous ones are ignite and enactus so it’s great. the best is a place jannat where students hangout. and it’s safe here because faculty keep checking on students
OVERALL ITS GREAT
The infrastructure is honestly the only aspect where this college lacks. But with the consistent efforts of the current principal and council, I hope to see that change soon. I'm sure, within some time, the infra of the college matches student's expectations.
The academic aspect of the college is top notch - especially in the commerce and economics department. The professors are well-qualified and they know what they're doing. They carry invaluable expertise in their respective domains making the college a top choice.
Being a member of the placement committe, I can guarantee that our college's placement cell is more active than any of its surrounding colleges' cell. We bring in great 100+ placements and 300+ internships every year to guarantee a unbothersome experience to the students.
100% yes.
Cool and vibrant campus
The infrastructure is student-friendly with ramps, elevators, and even Braille facilities in the library. It shows the college cares about inclusivity. The canteen food is affordable and decent, with plenty of spots to sit and chill. The greenery around the campus makes it feel fresh and lively.
The academic curriculum at Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Khalsa is updated and industry-relevant, especially for commerce and economics. Regular workshops, seminars, and case studies help students go beyond textbook learning.
Placements are good but also depend on your skills. High scorers and active students in societies grab better offers. Average packages are decent, but the top ones are impressive. And the placement cell of the college are most active part.
Bad infrastructure broken toilets classes bench also broken walls about to collapse ac does not work properly as well water coolers do not work at all so the infra is bad Bildungsroman is about collapse
Average teachers are fine some of them do not cooperate no proper system in place eca students and sports students do not expect to be exempted internal exams are a joke only ones who are teacher favourite get marks
Decent placements not fir all though only limited jobs placement cell portal is good though only medium tier jobs come for placement here internships are good so can expect decent internship opportunities
Fees is very less so yes it is value for money though improvement is needed in infrastructure otherwise college name and reputation will go for a toll in public north campus status is not there in college when compared to other
Very average good spots nearby though famous itself does not have a lot of place to go to so it is average at best
if i want to rate it i would like to rate it10/10. the environment of college is so friendly. the infra can be called mid as well. it has ac as well in few classes so its great tho. so infra is good only in few classes but great otherwise.
academic wise its GREATTT I WOULD DEFINITELY RECOMMEND EVERYONE ACADEMIC WISE TO ENROLL IN THIS college if you really wanna study study so its great. the faculty is qualified as well and they have proper exams as well.
the placements are greattt. i would recommend everyone in terms if placements. companies like delottie, kpmg, ey and more. all this is done by placement cells and they help students with interviews and all.
the value for money is 100%. and i would recommend students who dont want to spend a lot in their undergrad and then spend in their postgrad. the college is great in terms of this and you can think of this
the campus life is great and active. lots of socitiesand active and through societies everyone make friends and it is great. there is a canteen and nescafe most if the students go there. and it is situation in north campus
IT IS GREAT FOR SOMEONE WHO WANTS MAJOR CAMPUS LIFE NORTH AND ENJOY
Hello aspirant
Gargi College has been an amazing college and ranked 16th in the NIRF 2021 ranking in the college category and it was ranked 16th in the NIRF 2020 college ranking. The college has been granted the Star College status by the Department of Biotechnology, Government of India consecutively for 9 years.

Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Khalsa College, New Delhi, will be the best option among the Gargi, ARSD, and Khalsa College if the distance is not the parameter.
SGTB Khalsa College is the oldest college with the best infrastructure and phenomenal teaching faculty. Every facility is available in this college.
For Maths Hons, I suggest you prefer SGTB Khalsa over other colleges; else, ARSD is not a bad option.
