PG (Postgraduate) admissions like M.A., M.Sc., M.Com, MBA, MCA etc., usually happen every year between April and August for most Indian universities. This schedule is expected to remain the same from 2025 to 2027, unless there's a delay due to any major academic changes or national reasons

Some universities conduct their own entrance tests (like BHU, DU, JNU, PU), while others accept CUET PG, TANCET, CAT, GATE, etc. Merit list or counselling conducted in June–August ,session starts usually by August or September.

If you have a specific PG course or college in mind, I suggest visiting their official website and checking their admission notifications.

Wishing you all the best !

Hello,

Taking admission for PG in Psychology from a different university is absolutely possible. Here’s the simple process you can follow,

1. Choose your target college/university offering MA/M.Sc in Psychology.

2. Visit the college’s official website and check the admission notification and eligibility.

3. Most colleges will require a bachelor’s degree in Psychology or any discipline some colleges accept related fields too. Marks above a certain percentage usually 50–55%

4. Apply online by submitting the application form and required documents.

5. Some colleges conduct an entrance exam or interview.

6. Once selected, you will get admission even if your UG was from another university as long as it was UGC-recognized.

Thank you and all the best for your admission!

Hey Khushi:)

Thanks for reaching out!

Yes,you can apply for PG in life sciences (zoology)at DU as your CGPA of 8.63 meet the eligibility criteria .However, your DU-PGET score is significantly below the usual cut-off which are above 160-170 for general category. Although the application window is still open, your chances of securing admission this year is low based on your entrance exam score. If your still interested, you can go ahead and apply but it may be a good idea to consider preparing for the next exam cycle to improve your score or to explore other universities where the cut-offs trends maybe more in line with your current performance.

Don’t worry missing the PG CET exam is frustrating, but it’s not the end of your academic journey. You still have quite a few options depending on your situation.

If you were aiming for an M.Tech, look for colleges offering management quota seats many private colleges reserve some seats that don’t require CET. These might cost a bit more, but some colleges also offer scholarship.Another route is to prepare for GATE, which is more competitive but opens doors to IITs, NITs, and PSU jobs too. If you’re open to waiting a year and aiming higher, this might be worth it.

If you were looking at MBA or MCA, check if other state exams like KMAT, MAT, or even university-level tests are still open. A few universities like Christ, Jain, or PES in Karnataka have direct admission pathways or may accept late applications under special categories.

Thank you!

During PG (MD/MS) medical courses in India, the number of holidays allowed is limited and mostly regulated by the National Medical Commission (NMC) and the individual college or university rules. Here's a general idea:

  • Total course duration is 3 years.

  • Minimum attendance required is usually 80%, both in academic and clinical postings.

  • Leaves allowed per year: Generally, 30 days of leave per academic year are permitted. These include all types of leave—casual, sick, and personal.

  • Maternity or paternity leave (if applicable) is also allowed but subject to university approval. Maternity leave may go up to 90 days, but the course duration might be extended accordingly.

  • No long vacations like in UG (MBBS). Public holidays and Sundays are the only regular offs.

  • Leaves beyond the allowed limit may result in extension of the course or non-eligibility for exams.

In short, PG students get around 30 days of leave per year.

Yes, you can use your Intermediate, Degree, and PG certificates as supporting documents while applying for a residency (local status) certificate in Andhra Pradesh.

The purpose is to prove that you have resided or studied in AP for at least 7 consecutive years. Educational certificates showing continuous study in AP institutions are valid proof for this.

Submit them along with:

  • Application form

  • Aadhar card

  • Ration card or voter ID (if available)

  • Passport-size photo

  • Declaration or affidavit (if asked)

Visit the local MRO or apply online through the official AP portal. Make sure the certificates clearly show the institution name and years of study.
