Though these dates are subject to variation, admission generally opens a few months before the academic session. The college has programs at all levels—undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral—and all have different criteria and procedures for admissions. For undergraduate programs such as the B.Pharma and D.Pharma, admissions are determined by the candidate's performance in the 12th standard exam and relevant entrance tests.
The MSc Swamy Vivekananda College of Pharmacy admissions include various M.Pharma specializations that could account for GPAT scores or tests whose marks would be considered in addition to the candidate's academic performance at the undergraduate degree level. In M.Pharma, the following specializations are open: Pharmacology, Pharmaceutical Analysis, Pharmaceutics, Pharmacy Practice, Pharmaceutical Chemistry, and Pharmacognosy. For the Pharm.D program, a separate admission process may exist since the course is rather unique. For the Ph.D. program, the candidate shall be evaluated on the basis of his/her research proposal submitted and may have to attend an interview.
The application process for Swamy Vivekanandha College of Pharmacy will depend on the course being undertaken:
B.Pharma: Admission to this 4-year B.Pharma programme is mainly based on the performance of the candidate in the 12th standard examination in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology/Mathematics. The college has approved an intake of 100 students for the program.
D.Pharma: The 2-year Diploma in Pharmacy program admits 60 students every year. Candidates who have completed their 12th standard with science subjects are eligible to apply.
M.Pharma: SVCP offers various M.Pharma Specializations, including Pharmacology, Pharmaceutical Analysis, Pharmaceutics, Pharmacy Practice, Pharmaceutical Chemistry, and Pharmacognosy. Admission into these 2-year programmes may consider GPAT scores or college-specific entrance tests, along with the candidate's B.Pharma performance.

Ph.D in Pharmacy: Full-time and part-time Ph.D programs are being offered.
