when will SIMS 2018-2020 cutoff will be released?

Hi anushi! First of all I wanted you to know that in symbiosis institute of management studies pune 90% seats are reserved for the dependents of defence personnels and rest 10% seats are for the rest of the people. Now, coming to the cutoffs for both the categories, for dependents of defence personnels the cutoff is 51.4+ percentile and for rest of the people it is 77.4+ percentile for its flagship MBA programme for 2018. These cutoffs are for SNAP only.

I got 30 percentile from sc category in snap can i get any symbiosis institute ??

Hi Uday,

Getting admission in any Symbiosis institute at 30 percentile is highly unlikely. SIBM Pune has released SNAP 2017 cutoff. Here is the category-wise cutoff of SIBM Pune:

OPEN - 97.6659 percentile
SC - 73.0880 percentile
ST - 38.8921 percentile
DA - 46.5174 percentile
KM - 87.9513 percentile

SNAP 2017 RESULT

The Last year SNAP cutoff range has been 50-55 Percentile for SIMS Pune and hence, you have very good chances for receiving calls for PGPM and MBA full time.
The cutoff for sponsorship candidates are 75 Percentile.
The reservation is 80% for genral defence category.

I got 35 % in snap is there any chance to get call from sims pune?

Dear Madhu,
The cutoff as per 2017 reports states that it is 70 percentile for non defence category or General category as only 10% seats are reserved for PGPM and MBA courses.

Hence, you have low probability of conversion.

You should rather try out SCIT Pune, where you have bright prospects for MBA into Information Technology.

Is there caste wise cutoff in SNAP exam for symbiosis bschools?

Yes, there is category wise cutoff in SNAP Entrance Exam. SNAP cutoff is the minimum marks or Percentile that a candidate has to score in order to get shortlisted for selection process. In 2016 the cutoff

I have got 65.1% in snap will i get a call from sims pune with the defence quota.Will i have a fair chance of converting the call ?

Yes you have got great chances for getting call as cutoff for Defense personnel is 55 Percentile as per trends.

80% seats are reserved for Defense category at SIMS Pune.

If you prepare well enough for Group exercise, Writen test and personal interview you have good chance.

i have got 70% in snap.can i get call from sims (open) and what other colleges i can get?

The cutoff as per previous year trends have been 51 percentile for Open defense personnel and 77 percentile above for industry sponsorship candidates.

You can accordingly decide in which category you belong to.
You have decent chances with following colleges:-

SIMC Pune
SCIT Pune
SICSR Pune
SSBF Pune
SSSS PUne
SIOM Nashik and Hyderabad.

You should prepare well for GEWAT Pi rounds.

Yes you have bright chances to get a call from sims pune.
- The cutoff for SNAP 2017 is likely to be released after the declaration of result, which has been declared on December 28. Once the result is announced, the participating institutes will release their individual SNAP cutoff 2017 for admission to various management programmes during January 2018. SNAP 2017 cutoff is the minimum mark or percentile that a candidate has to secure in order to get shortlisted for the selection process. The selection process includes Group Exercise (GE), Writing Ability Test (WAT) and Personal Interaction (PI) round conducted by participating institutes. The admissions will be based on performance in SNAP 2017, selection rounds and candidate profile.

College Infrastructure

The symbiosis college has gym and sports department in addition with the management department . The hostel is there with the ac facility and attached wash rooms . The food is great and medical facilities also provided to the students by the college itself .

College Infrastructure

All the facilities are available in college. We have Wi-Fi, well-equipped classrooms, and a library. Sometimes eating at mess becomes boring but they maintain a good quality of food for students. Each facility is available on the campus, and it's more of a second home to people here at SIMS.
