Symbiosis Entrance Test (SET) is a University level examination conducted by Symbiosis International University (SIU). Through this exam, students can apply for admission in various courses in the field of engineering, law, design and many others offered by Symbiosis Institutions.

I am mentioning the SET  Examination pattern 2019 for various courses :

• This exam will be conducted in online mode (computer-based).
• The exam duration will be 150 Minutes.
• Total four question papers organized in two sessions, i.e. morning [9:30 AM to 12.00 Noon (Reporting time: 07:30 AM)] & evening [2.30 PM to 5.00 PM (Reporting time: 12:30 PM)]. You can apply for only one paper in each session.
• Total 150 questions will be asked for law, design & general courses and 100 questions for engineering & health science courses.
• The question paper of SET exam contains objective type questions only.
• For each correct response one mark will be awarded and two marks will be given in engineering & health science question papers.
• There will be no negative marking for incorrect answers.

The examination will be conducted on 4th May, 2019.

I am giving you some suggestions for SET preparation :

• The five areas of the question are : English, Quantitative, General awareness, Analytical Reasoning, Logical Reasoning. 
• Out of 150 questions, English carries 25 questions and you can practice certain areas like : Synonyms, Antonyms, Reading Comprehension, Dictionary meaning of different words, Correct grammar usage and their rules etc.
• Quantitative Aptitude : It also carries 25 questions and the areas need attention are : Geometry, Algebra, Statistics. 
• General Awareness : This section carries out 60 questions and you must know the current issues and events in : Business, Health, Legal Area etc.
• Analytical and Logical Reasoning : This section carries 40 questions and the areas covering are : Coding and decoding, Data interpretation, Definitely true or false statements, Probably true or false statements etc. 
• Reference Books for Symbiosis Entrance Test : I am listing some of the books which can be referred : Quantitative Aptitude for Competitive Examinations by R.S. Agarwal, Mental Aptitude by Subhkamna Publications, Data Interpretation and Logical reasoning by Arun Sharma, NCERT of 9th to 12th standard. 
• You can prepare for this exam through the books i have listed. Mock tests are also a good way for preparations of the exam. You can also practice the previous year question papers of this exam. This will definitely help you to understand the type of questions, question weightage and pattern of the exam.

Hey,

it is compulsory to have maths in class 12th if youwant to pursue ba eco honours or bsc. Eco honours. My advice to you would be to choose maths in class 12th as in most of the colleges it is required. But also you can find some other colleges which do not require maths.

Your chances of conversion are totally dependent on the number of withdrawals in the particular academic year. So you cannot judge that based on what has happened in previous academic years. You might want to contact someone from the college to have a better idea regarding what is going on.

To be eligible for admission in Symbiosis, Pune you need to pass class 12th in any discipline with minimum 50% marks if you belong to the general category and 45% marks if you belong to the Reserved category.

Admissions will be based on Symbiosis Entrance Test (SET), Personal interview & Writing Ability Test. Final merit list will be prepared on the basis of both scores (SET score 50% and PIWAT 50%)

The Selection process is carried out in two steps.

• Step I: SNAP Test
  • Each student desirous of admission to SIBM,Pune must appear for Symbiosis National Aptitude (SNAP) Test, which is a common written test for the admission to all Symbiosis postgraduate institutes.
  • For SNAP Test information log on to http://www.snaptest.org and register. Simultaneously, register online to SIBM Pune by paying additional Rs. 1000/- plus GST.
  • Preserve the Admit Card of SNAP Test for further selection process at SIBM, Pune. Appearing for SNAP Test does not automatically qualify an applicant for the next step in selection process at SIBM, Pune.

SITM is much better than SIHS.
