It is a college affiliated to the Synod College where Thomas Jones is its originator at Jowai in the state of Meghalaya. Undergraduate programs in arts, commerce, and science are offered here. Degree wise Admission Process
B.A. Programs: The university awards B.A. Honours in the following subjects: English, Khasi Language, Education, History, Philosophy, Political Science, and Economics. Admission will be based on the merit of the candidate in the 10+2 examination, giving preference to relevant subjects he/she selects for each of the above disciplines.
B.Com. Program: B.Com. Honours with Accounting and Finance is the professional course being offered. Admission is on the basis of the candidate's 10+2 performances with preference to those who studied commerce or other related subjects.
B.Sc. Programs: The various B.Sc. Honors courses open at the college include those around Physics, Chemistry, Botany, Zoology, or Mathematics. Admission to these programs requires passing all Sciences at the 10+2 level with a good foundation.
To achieve its total of 1,221 students across a total of thirteen programs at the undergraduate level, the college draws only one intake into the total number. The specific number of seats available for any one course has not been mentioned, but students would, nonetheless, be admitted onto a balanced number across the programs offered by the college.
