Vananchal Dental College and Hospital offers various dental courses at the undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctorate levels. The admission process for these programs is primarily based on national-level entrance exams.
BDS (Bachelor of Dental Surgery): The admission is based on the NEET (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test) score.
MDS (Master of Dental Surgery): The admission is based on the NEET MDS (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test for MDS) score.

NEET: February 6, 2025 – March 6, 2025
NEET MDS: February 17, 2025 – March 9, 2025
Eligibility criteria for admission:
BDS: Completion of 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology as compulsory subjects.
MDS: BDS degree from a recognized university.
For BDS Program:
Qualify in the NEET examination.
Register for the state-level or all-India counseling process, as applicable.
Fill out the counseling form and select Vananchal Dental College and Hospital as a preferred institution.
If allotted a seat, report to the college for document verification and admission formalities.
For MDS Program:
Qualify in the NEET MDS examination.
Register for the all-India or state-level PG dental counseling process.
Fill out the counseling form and select Vananchal Dental College and Hospital and the desired specialization.
If allotted a seat, complete the admission process at the college.
BDS (Bachelor of Dental Surgery):
Seats: 100
Admission Process: Based on NEET score and subsequent counseling process.
Eligibility: Must qualify the NEET examination.
MDS (Master of Dental Surgery):
Seats: 16 across seven specializations:
Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics (2 seats)
Pedodontics and Preventive Dentistry (2 seats)
Prosthodontics and Crown and Bridge (2 seats)
Periodontology (2 seats)
Conservative Dentistry and Endodontics (2 seats)
Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology and Oral Microbiology (3 seats)
Oral Medicine (3 seats)
Admission Process: Based on NEET MDS score and subsequent counseling process.
Required Documents:
NEET/NEET MDS score card
10th and 12th standard mark sheets and certificates
BDS degree certificate and mark sheets (for MDS applicants)
Valid ID proof
Domicile certificate (if applicable)
Caste certificate (if applicable)
Recent passport-size photographs
Any other documents specified by the college or counseling authorities
Students studying here has to loose their year as college is not able to take exams on time.. every session is 1 or 2 years delayed. They complete their 5 year course in 6 or even 7 year. But the patient flow is quite good.

NEET is a mandatory examination if you are willing to take admission in a government medical college to pursue BDS.
Eligibility Criteria for BDS Admission:
1) You must have passed class 12th (10+2) boards exams successfully
2) Must have minimum 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry & Biology subjects in class 12th boards exam. You must have completed Senior Secondary examination with at least 50% marks to pursue the BDS course.
This percentage is 40% if you are a SC/ST Candidate.
