VISWASS College of Nursing, Khordha Admission Process

It stands as a prominent nursing institution providing nursing programs in Khurdha. Hence, the admission process here is merit-based to have a level playing field for all the contestants. Most of the time merit lists fill up seats in most courses especially for the reserved category seats under courses such as Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing and GNM. Thus, the admission process is highly competitive for the limited number of seats available in each program so that only deserving candidates can be selected.

Application Process

At VISWASS College of Nursing, Khordha, the application process generally involves

1. Admission Notification: The commencement of the admission will be announced on the official website of the college along with other forms of media.

2. Application Form: The application forms may be filled and submitted online at the college website, or obtained from the college admission office.

3. Document Submission: This includes submission of application form and documents which may include:

  • 10th and 12th-standard mark sheets

  • Other relevant certificates as specified by the college

4. Application Fees: These are paid by the prospective candidate as declared by the college for processing the application. Mode of payment and amount concerning application fees will be clearly mentioned in the application guidelines.

5. Entrance Tests/Merit List: The college shall conduct entrance tests or prepare merit lists according to the academic performance of candidates for specific programs.

6. Documents Verification: After the evaluation of candidates, a shortlist of candidates would be made. The shortlisted ones would then be called in for document verification where originals would be matched with copies submitted.

7. Counselling & Seat Allotment: Counselling may be held for the qualified candidates, after which seats shall be allotted based on merit and availability.

8. Payment of Fees: The selected candidates would be required to pay the course fees within the stipulated time so as to confirm their admission.

9. Enrollment: Finally, on the fulfillment of all the above steps, the candidates would be enrolled in their respective programs.

Degree wise Admission Process

B.Sc Nursing: The B.Sc Nursing course at VISWASS College of Nursing has an approved intake of 60 seats. Admission is based on merit; however, the criteria for selection are not divulged. Interested candidates are advised to check the college website for detailed eligibility requirements and application procedures.

GNM: The GNM program, too, has an intake capacity of 60 seats. Admissions with regard to reserved seats are filled from the merit list thus giving the chance to other deserving candidates from all walks of life to pursue this program.

Post Basic B.Sc Nursing: The intake capacity for this program has approval for 50 seats. Admissions again for the reserved seats function using the merit list as with GNM. A candidate is able to apply for this program after successfully completing GNM.
