Hi Varsha,

The EWS category cutoff for JIPMER's MD Dermatology program (Dermatology, Venereology & Leprosy) is 18907, compared to 23295 in 2024. This means the cutoff rank for EWS candidates decreased in 2025. The cutoff score for EWS in 2024 was 621 according to the sources.

These cutoff scores are based on the INI-CET (Institute of National Importance - Common Entrance Test) exam results, which is used for admissions to various postgraduate medical courses at JIPMER. The actual cutoff may vary depending on factors like the number of seats available, the overall performance of candidates, and other institutional policies.

Hello aspirant,

Two of the most promising medical programs you can think about are BAMS and BHMS.  The courses of BAMS and BHMS are becoming more and more popular as a result of the growing demand for natural remedies and medications.

Hi Umang Mishra,

MBBS and NEET are a different ball game altogether. You making it into MBBS itself makes you a topper. From what I can understand, “below average” is defined by marks you score during the UG exams which in turn is determined by many factors like the pattern of paper, your internals etc. Unfortunately, all this has no role in deciding your NEET score or how good a doctor you become. According to me, what matters most is your basic concepts and your grip over each subject, especially the preclinicals.

I haven't read any of the standard text books “ cover to cover" either. But I did read them for all imp topics and supplemented with videos. I've watched almost all of Dr Najeeb videos, Kaplan, Pathoma, random YouTube videos.

Neet is all about playing with your weakness and strengths and making a gameplan accordingly. Even this rank is not gonna determine how good a doc you become but only gives you a foundation and makes your journey to that point much easier.

For MD, you just need dedication and hard work with a bit smart work.

First you must be strong in basics like anatomy , physio and bio-chem. Along with text books u have to read entrance books. Work out the MCQ's in the book.

On weekends you can attend coaching classes conducted by private institutes which'll help you understand difficult concepts as well as an outlook about entrance exams. It'll be a stimulus to study.

Then u have to give online exams once you complete a subject. It is to judge yourself.

Then in addition if you have a good company i.e study partner , it'll make things more easier.

I hope this helps..
