English is a West Germanic language that arose in England and spread into what was to become south-east Scotland.B.A. (Hons) English encompasses the study of English language and literature and how it came in modern form along with highlighting many aspects of English society through drama, poetry, novel and play.
One dissects popular texts and poems and the course is not just limited to the syllabi but to a general awareness of one’s surroundings. The students demonstrate knowledge and comprehension of representative authors and works in literature written in English as well as their social, cultural, theoretical and historical contexts.
Eligibility Criteria
A person, who have passed Higher Secondary/Intermediate (10+2) with (any stream) with 50% Marks or any other examination recognized as equivalent thereto, shall be eligible for the course.
