Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) is an offered Full-time three/six-year Doctoral program and it is offered by the Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee. Ph.D. program shall be for a minimum duration of three years, including course work and a maximum of six years. Extension beyond the above limits will be governed by the relevant clauses as stipulated in the Statute/Ordinance of the individual Institution concerned.


Eligibility Criteria

  • B.Tech. / M.Tech. or equivalent degree in Chemical Engineering.
  • B.Tech. / M.Tech. or equivalent degree in any branch of Engineering/ Chemical Technology and interdisciplinary areas.
  • M.Sc./MS in disciplines consistent with the research areas of the department.

The campus is next to Guindy national park. It is in flora and the fauna mostly consists of deers and dogs. Many sporting activities are there. The city is near to campus. The campus has few old buildings but they are equipped with all facilities. New buildings have first class facilities. There are facilities for a lot of research.
